My Nissan Skyline GT-T R32 vs slightly modded Dom’s Dodge Charger. This would be the last update to the R32. About the Dodge, there’s not much to modify this set as it was very well designed and fairly accurate, just added few touches to make it more realistic (detailed interior, mirror, wipers, fuel cap, antenna, black front grill).

Another day, another company tackling the amazing cars from the Fast and the Furious franchise. This time around it is none other than the Hot Wheels parent company Mattel. This is a different series than Hot Wheels, and a different series than Matchbox. I am starting to get the feeling that Mattel is working hard to corner the market on the diecast market.

Jada usually has the movie licenses in 1:55 scale, which is where we just ended the last run of Fast and Furious vehicles. Most of those are making a reappearance in this series of 32 cars. The fun part of Jada was the Build-a-Car feature they had. Each vehicle in the set had a part to build another car. This time around we are not so lucky. And the price tag. $3.99! Ouch!! That is a lot to pay for a diecast car that is slightly larger than the $.99 Hot Wheels. Yes these have some added detail that the standard Hot Wheels don't have, but that is a lot to ask when you, as a company, are trying to get people to buy 32 cars. Not to mention again that we saw many of those cars executed really well by Jada not that long ago. I have a feeling that we are going to see these cars warming the pegs for a while, unless they all go on sale for a great price. I would like to add some of the new cars for the upcoming movie, but not for that price point.

I did however need to get my hands on one of the cars. For me, Brian always had the best cars. They were always a bit different than the rest, and the 1970 Ford Escort RS1600 Mk1 is no different. This car started life in Europe. I grew up with an Escort in my family. A teal wagon with a 5-speed manual transmission. But that was the American version that used the name started in Europe in the late 60s. Eventually the dreaded 80s look took this car from a rally great to a family sedan, but in the meantime, this car had some great style.

This is a great little car. Built back in the day, when artists designed cars. Even if it was for an economy car. The stance is right, just a little added graphics, and some added rally lights to the front. And gold rims? Awesome!

The cars used in the movie were rebuilt from the ground up. They used 5 in the movie, destroying 2 in the jump scene where Brian has to save Roman from the tank.

This was really the only car I really wanted that has come out so far. There may be another few that haven't come out yet, and I will be keeping my eyes out for them. I would have to have the green Eclipse, since it was the first car of the film franchise. But for now, the Escort has joined my 1:55 scale F&F family of cars.

Are you ready for one last ride furious family? Get ready as we continue the global exploits in this unstoppable franchise built on speed with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of Furious 7. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, Nathalie Emmanuel and Kurt Russell.

I'll run till the end of time and light,

fightin' against hate and evil,

i'll run for your love, to reach your heart and your soul

and i'll be your cure.

I'll take care of you and at the end

you'll be caught in a warm hug

and nothing will hurt you anymore.

I'm your strenght and fortress against all odds

and i will not die 'cause i'll live in you,

I love the paint on this car.

Dominic Toretto's 1968 Dodge "Ice" Charger from the 8th film in the Fast and the Furios franchise "Fate of the Furious". I featured a custom widebody kit and a rear mounted jet turbine engine.

I first started on this build six years ago and it got set on the back burner as other projects took priority. I finally decided that it was time to stop tripping over a half finished MOC.

I love the speed champions cars and this is one of my favorites. So I decided to make a habitat for the car.

I had a cultural mash-up idea yesterday that was too ridiculous not to follow. I made book covers for the Fast and the Furious film series in the style of Penguin's crime series from the early 60s, using the photography of Swiss policeman and art photographer Arnold Odermatt. Apologies to Romek Marber, Arnold Odermatt and Vin Diesel.

The "lesser" Auto Union, just a V12!!!!! Obviously very difficult to handle, engine in the rear and very quick. The little hole in the tail is for the starter.
