The Fast and Furious movie series is leaving us with one last ride through the well-sequenced and high-flying (literally) Furious 7 sequel. Automotive Rhythms turned the Regal Majestic Stadium 20 & Imax in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland into an epicenter of energetic rides and die-hard franchise fans. Patrons were able to view some of the magnificent vehicles from the movie such as the Dodge Hellcat, Nissan GTR aka Godzilla, Audi R8, an Aston Martin, Lamborghinis and a Ferarri 458. But wait, it doesn’t stop there because also on hand were BMW M3s, a Nissan 370Z Nismo and two of the baddest custom Kawasaki Ninja ZX 14s on the streets.

Um. yes, I would like to order a #3 with a side of badass. Built for the LUGNuts challenge "Build by Numbers" I give you the car nicknamed "Hammer," a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. If you think you have seen it somewhere before, you have. It was the car that Vin Diesel drove in the final scene of "Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift." It also made an appearance in "Fast and Furious." The real car features a supercharged big block making over 500 HP. In my opinion, this is probably one of the most badass cars in the franchise. The car recently sold at auction for over $150,000.

Our Fast and Furious friend had an impeccable experience with the new 2017 Jaguar F-TYPE SVR. On a closed highway in the Nevada desert, home to the world-renowned Silver State Classic Challenge road race, actress Michelle Rodriguez pushed the F-TYPE SVR Coupe to its top speed with the speedometer indicating 201 mph - a personal top speed for the star. "Driving this car was insane! I've now broken my personal speed record in the beautiful Jaguar F-TYPE SVR,” stated Rodriguez. “Reaching 201mph felt amazing, the car drove really smoothly, all my corrections were minimal, I was super focused, and it really reacted in all the right ways. I don't think I'd ever go this fast without a professional driver seated next to me, but oh man, it was an incredible feeling."

This is Solyndra's Fab 2 state-of-the-art robotic facility in Fremont, California which opened in September 2010. For a short time cylindrical panels of CIGS - Copper indium gallium (di)selenide - thin-film solar cells were made here.

Solyndra's business plan was to manufacture solar panels at $6 per unit cost and then try to sell them for $3, but that plan proved unworkable when China could sell them for $2.

That didn't stop the US Federal government from giving them over half a billion dollars in taxpayer-guaranteed loans.

President Barack Obama authorized a $535 million loan guarantee to Solyndra Corporation in 2009 as part of a program to spur alternative energy growth. George Kaiser and other Solyndra officials donated heavily to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign and made numerous visits to the White House since 2009. Solyndra and the White House had originally estimated that this government guarantee of Solyndra's financing would help to create 4,000 new jobs. In September 2011 Solyndra ceased all business activity, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and fired all of its employees. The FBI and the DOE Office of Inspector General, executed search warrants on Solyndra’s headquarters in Fremont, California, as well as at the home of Solyndra executives. Neither the FBI nor the DOE OIG have commented on the details of this criminal investigation, and the warrants remain under seal with the court.

US taxpayers paid back the $535 million loan.

Uhmmm... what happened to the $535 million? Like where did all that money go?

Solyndra is not the only investigation going on, but will there be enough time in our lifetimes to find all of the corruption that has taken place?
