chote chitr is an amazing family-run restaurant on a quiet street of bangkok. it's a little difficult to find (and none of the tuk tuk drivers will want to take you there), but the food is incredible. we stuffed ourselves for lunch one day and went back the next for more. the restaurant has been in the family for over 90 years, and is currently run by three sisters and their three dogs. they do everything, from serving to cleaning to cooking. read more here: www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=14053297
