Heliopsis...like the sun. helianthoides...like a sunflower. Whatever you want to call it, it is most impressive with the tall height and bright yellow flowers.
Shot with Zeiss Nettar [Fuji NPH 400]. The last few frames look pretty much like this one. I pulled the roll out and it did a little dance in my hands while trying to unroll itself. Oh well.
The crowds gather on the beaches and waters of English Bay for the last night of the "Honda Celebration of Light 2013". I took up position on top of the pump house at the west side of Sunset Beach where I could still listen to the "Deep Dark Woods" on the Rogue stage and watch the action on False Creek and English Bay.

I am just tickled pink that my Blue False Indigo seeds are taking hold. I was afraid they would not come up. Now to decide where in the yard I want to plant them.
