Last blooms of the summer. Such detail, such beauty in this common Wisconsin wildflower I photographed during golden hour in late August.

We are having some beautiful misty weather right now in Vancouver.

one of the highlights on a scenic motorcycle tour around the Cape Peninsula is the view over the False Bay and down to Simon's Town with the harbor and naval base

Yolo County Red Tailed Hawk hops to a lower branch after a long stakeout. I like the pose, though.

This shot was on my bucket list and it was a fun trek. Unlike the pandemonium I experienced at Mesa Arch, this site was quiet and there was only four of us sharing this area. The hike was listed as strenuous and it was a nice aerobic workout.

Ningbing False Antechinus (Pseudantechinus ningbing)

Responding to recent newsfeeds explaining how four heatwaves and low rainfall this summer created the conditions for a “false” autumn in August.

One from the archives of "The Weather Project" by Olafur Eliasson, at the Tate Modern in 2004. Photographed with the trusty Canon Powershot S50 which served me well on many a travel.
