My third knitting project 10/2/08
I didn't use a pattern or anything. I basically took the idea of crocheting a hat.. and just reversed it. lmao. So it's oddly shaped and small! Still wearable though! The edge is crocheted.

... but then I forgot until I was finished ... and then I accidentally recorded a movie of my empty burger basket.
This entire image is full of fail.
Taken at Savannah Rapids Pavillion. Got up early to photograph the sun rising over the river. Arrived to find heavy fog that still hasn't burned off 2 hours later. Took this shortly before sunrise, needed a headlight to set up tripod and make settings. 30 second exposure. Much happier with this image than the sunrise I had envisioned.

This was my failed attempt to take a shot of my son's model rocket taking off. Camera was set for remote shutter release beneath a pane of glass. Unfortunately, it is a wireless release and I couldn't get the angle correct for it to work unless I was standing rather close. That, and the fact that my son, who is 6, doesn't quite grasp the importance of counting down - I was standing far too close when this puppy went off - they are quite loud and I'm lucky I didn't get popped or fry the camera.
I'm not sure I'm going to try this again in the future...
Oh wait- if you check the local news site, it says it will rain every day, just not the day the hurricane is here. I'm no meteorolgist but I am guessing they are wrong.
my attempt at testing the 11fps mode on a new 1DmkIV for a commercial soccer photo shoot. A guy threw a ball at me during my kick test, which caught me off guard, hilarious facial expressions ensued.
I was experimenting in Matt's bathroom the other night trying to get one of those evocative low-light self-portraits with the light striped by the louvered blinds on a moonlit night, but the light was just too too low to accomplish it. I decided to process -and in this case over-process- the shots anyway and this is what I got from one of them. ooooOOOOoooo. Cool abstract though, eh?
