Tom tried to help me install my new Soma drop down handles on my newish Masi Speciale Fixed tonight but it was a no go. The handles fit perfectly but we didn't realize that the brake lever he bought last week was too big for my handles so we weren't able to install them properly. Big bummer because I was really looking forward to this. Anyway, here are a few pics of the process. The original ultra wide masi handles will have to do for now. Darn!

It's poorly polished, under exposed, and a bit fogged. I'm not sure what's causing the fogging but it might have been the haphazard way I sensitized the plate.
Today my GP tried to remove my magnetic implant, but it proved difficult- it had migrated deep in my finger, and came apart as he tried to get a hold of it. Almost from the first incision before he got anywhere near it shards of the magnet started coming out, and it seems the main body of the magnet adhered to scar tissue. For now, and probably ever, it's staying inside.
So whats it about …….

I had the most failtastic day ever.
So, I wake up and my tooth that has been sort of hurting all week hurts more, and I looked at it, and it looked kinda funny. So when I got to school, I called the dentist. When I explained what was going on, she said I needed to come in right away, because they weren't open Friday or Saturday and I couldn't wait till Monday. Note that I was already at school. I said I'd have to think and call her back. The office said I could take a half a day off and go, so I did, wracked with guilt. Turns out I need it pulled. I have a few baby teeth left, and that's one of them. It was getting ready to fall out anyway. No idea what they'll do with hte random space I have. Good thing my baby teeth are in the back of my mouth. So I head to the pharmacy to get antibiotics and Vicodin, and set up an appt for Monday afternoon, missing an inservice after school. I get a call from mom AT the dentist's office telling me one of my uncles died. And I'm sad. Even though I wasn't close to him (though of course I loved him), but I am close to my grandma, and I'm sad that she's sad. On top of this, I still had my appt for after school for my random rapid heartbeat. Turns out that is caused from my medicine. I might have a propensity for it, but that aggravates it. I'm one of those people for whom side effects always come back to bite me. I did get something for anxiety too. It's fast-acting and a short term thing. Whew.
Yeah. I'm over it. Everything. I just want to be healthy and competent. But hey. I have Vicodin! So life can't be THAT bad.
Was actually trying to get a picture of the aperture blades then this happened. -.- but I think it turned out to be a pretty decent shot.

I screwed up a batch of tempeh. This one was totally my fault. I used half the amount of tempeh starter that I normally do. I also left too much hot water in the tempeh when I started bagging. You would think we would be pro's at this particular fermentation, but even we screw them up.

Yep, I need a purple kitchen bin for the compost. Oh, and good thing Amazon reminded me to buy some porn to go with it (?!)
