My poor attempt to capture the eclipse through my Meade telescope. It looked much more impressive through the eye piece. I have yet to get this setup to work right. I suspect the weight of the camera body makes the telescope move, but I also had a hard time telling if I got the focus right through the viewfinder... Maybe one day.

This was my favorite story of the weekend. John Delane owner of the 1972 Chevron B21 is certainly getting his money's worth from the car. Not only did he enjoy racing it but now it's his two grandsons turn. This weekend it was Kyle Collins driving the car finishing 2nd in class. Also working her way up the ranks and possibly heading to be the 3rd grandchild to race the car is his granddaughter (unfortunately I failed to get her name). Beautiful family totally enjoying the sport

I really am crap with this GoPro lark! Mind you, it doesn't help when Brain of Britain here decides it'd be cool to mount it on the crossbar (I'm old, it's a crossbar...) and then lobs the bar bag on in front of it... duh... So I got a lot of photos of with no horizon or whatever. 0/10 - must try harder.
Fail at secondary because I acidently slide the primary near the secondary coil, and it sparked between the two. The igbts survived, but the secondary has that fail. It is working good now, but the igbts blowed up and I think its because the detune caused by the 4 turns that melt together in there.

Additional aspect of the fail: this is a european moth, and the story is about a North American BIRD.

I was invited to take pictures for an event in the biggest Estonian casino chain - Olympic. At this event they gave away 1 000 000 EEK and just when they finally announced the winner my camera crashed. So this is the first picture that I did in the backroom when I got my camera working again. Epic fail!!!
Wednesday 27th July 2011 was not a good day for 46115 'Scots Guardsman' and for the clouds that once in place above the photo position failed to budge. Despite these shortcomings, I still pressed the shutter, and I feel that this image in monochrome is perhaps reminiscent of the 1960s, when steam and diesel in tandem was not uncommon. West Coast Railway Co. No.47760 drags the failed 'Scot' back to Carnforth at the head of the return 'Fellsman' charter near Dry Beck.
