I followed a Julieanne Kost tutorial the other day and somehow I must have missed a step because it wasn't supposed to be quite like this. One day I will start again but in the meantime I thought I'd keep this anyway, I quite liked it.
These are 10 images of mine, severely cropped after applying 2 blur filters.
After having our first warm day of this spring, which short lived, a cold front came in with rain and freezing rain. I hope this yellow daffodils will survive.

16-Aug-2020. The UK had been experiencing record heat in the month of Aug. We planned to get our share of the beach in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic.
It was a 2-hour drive to the beach, and the UK weather didn't fail to disappoint. It was raining quite heavily when we arrived at 2PM. It's a little discouraging. Summer may already be behind us.
4PM the sky cleared. We're greeted with a warm sun and a clear sky with scattering of cumulus clouds. The best part of it, most of the beach goers have decided to pack - leaving the beach all to ourselves. We didn't have to worry about keeping our distance.
Hope you find some enjoyment despite the situation we're in. Keep safe everyone.
The real challenge is taking a street scene where no one is using a mobile phone. I failed at least three times here!
The other day I was intending to shoot some forest on one side of the road and it turned out the opposite side was was much better. I guess the moral to this story is ..... turn around and see what is behind you.
,and the bin liner...
For quite awhile now, whenever i have seen 6E26 Knowsley-Wilton household waste train, it has passed through P2 at a rate of knots....
so, to see it come up P1, then stop for a crew change, presented another opportunity...
This image is representational or a reflection of my thoughts on this coincidental event.
Of course we put rubbish in skips, and in bin liners, ( skip being a nickname for the Class 67 loco ),
Attempt at panning following advice from WelshFlickrCymru members. This is my son worn out after repeated failed shots of me trying to get to grips with panning. Thanks son, much appreciated. X and thanks to WFC members for their invaluable advice

After flapping and running along the water for a bit and not getting airborne it gave up and dove under the surface. Must have been embarrassed with a boat load of people watching.
37612 passes Cheney Longville with 97302 on the rear working 6C47 18.12½ Bescot to Bescot via The Marches and Heart of Wales line. 37612 would fail later that evening.
I had high hopes for this Monarch larva to make it to the next stage of metamorphosis, but alas, it ran out of gas I guess and failed to complete the pupa construction. It's a very sad image and I thought hard about posting it, but in the end I guess I wanted to show exactly how challenging, fragile and dear the full life cycle from egg to caterpillar to pupa to butterfly really is. If you need orientation, it's hanging by the butt end. There are still a number of larvae chomping away, and a few have headed up the garage wall to hang in the eves. Honestly, I'll be thrilled if my perfect pupa I posted yesterday makes it.
One wheel of the one lift that gives access to Grands Montets ski resort broke down yesterday.. A bunch of ski tourers (incl. me…) took advantage…
This American Coot came up with the equivalent of an "old boot" after "fishing" at King Gillette Ranch, Malibu CA.

This is the same plane as my last pic. While I usually get the exposure right, that was not the case here. Besides: Everything was moving. Anyway: I sort of like the photo.
So my original thought was to capture my fairy lights for the Macro Monday challenge. It was much harder than I thought it would be, so I brought out Miss Fairy Girl to help me......sadly I had to change direction after this fail.
I thought it was going to be a great weekend sunset. But I was wrong. Frustrated, but I still had to shoot to get the best that my time can spend.
water always near
the sound of it over it
from it crowds
flooding the docks
paces away
scarlet memories
casements drawn
his first, opened
upon ideas of knowing until
he remembered when father
took him away
father's failings, to
cry the river, north
mother
brother
he was eleven
yet here he thought,
remembered yet what
now these blistering visages?
i will not fail you
said the father
so you said
did you see?
a man fell from the main mast, father
I ordered the pattern from Etsy, reduced it some, and made this catnip fish for our cat family. (hand-stitched, mind you) Instead of filling it completely with dried catnip, I made a cylindrical pouch and inserted it along with the stuffing.
As you'll see in the following photographs, there just hasn't been much enthusiasm for the fish toy. I wonder if Jimmy made a peace pact with the fish.
When you are trying to make the most of it to be a surprise but its just your luck ! I would blame it on my outfit? Merry... Oh no!!
