wow does the quality of this picture look amazing or what? i think soo. anyways. I've come to this conclusion..i loathe the action of assuming. I don't like it when i do it, or when anyone does it. It never makes anything better, so why do it. People that think to much, tend to assume a lot, hehe that's an assumption because i'm sure not everyone who thinks a lot assumes. I really wish that action wasn't possible. I mean you never know what someone is thinking, so you really can't assume.
So today was chill. I made strawberry pancakes(i cut up real strawberries and put them in the batter yum) for lunch.. but extreme, haha, EPIC FAIL. you know why? i put wayyyyy to much baking powder. instead of 3 TEASPOONS i put 3 TABLESPOONS ahaha so my pancakes were uber big and puffy(pictures in comments). It's funny i've made pancakes from scratch and i've never done that, i was so hungry i didn't read the recipe ahah. also wheat flour tastes sooo different then white flour, and cane sugar tastes sooo different then ruglar sugar as well. It's probably because they are both healthier and in their natural state. the pancakes tasted soo cinnamony to me..though there was no cinnamon in them. I was getting a bit flustered and annoyed, and cooking never makes me angry or flustered, i'm quite patient with it. haha. so that was fun. My dad made and yummy spaghetti dinner, though i took out the meat in the meat sauce...they were making fun of me for that. jonel texted/called me. hehe my hibernating baby. so cute. we talked from 5:30pm-almost 8pm:D he is the greatest guy on the planet. the best, funniest, most understanding, great listener, sweet, unique, random, guy i've ever met. he's so laid back, down to earth, and chill..then at times crazy, wild and silly. he's also extremely beautiful, he's so accepting of me and i'm so crazy and silly and hyper on the phone, from lack of talking to him i get all hyper and crazy. it could just be because as the days pass by more and more i'm falling deeper in love with him. he's got me in a spell i sware. i was joking with him telling him"what if i moved back to florida?" *jonel's voice gets all excited*"are you going to?!!" "hehe do you want me too?" *jonel even more anticipated and excited then before*" are you going to?" haha him and adela really really want me to move back. Even though i miss florida like crazy, i don't want to move back, yet. Maybe in two years. idk i love california. though i miss my home even more. it's crazy when you live somewhere, you don't always appreciate it and what it has to offer but then when you move away, you see what it had, and you wish you appreciated it more. I miss florida a lot. It was my home for the past 8 years, and soooo much happened in that little time. My whole life went upside down then back up again in 8 years. It was incredible. though things happened that i didn't like..i will probably always call florida my home..more than chicago..maybe because i only spent a 11 years of my life in chicago and in those 11 years, i really can't remember much. The memories i do remember are vague, yet wonderful. I loved chicago but florida is more of my home now, it's more me. Chicago has changed a lot since i was there, and i don't like what it has become..regardless of no snow in florida i don't think i will ever go back to chicago. AHAH i so got off topic. Ah well. i'm sure you don't want to hear about jonel anyways. ok well i love you life, and jonel, and ee everything. i need to go make my lunch because i'm getting up at 5:45am(eep) to open tomorrow and i work until 3pm. how fun diddy fun. hope jonel passes his test tomorrow. hope everyone had a fun sunday. i know i did. and i love all you flickr friends. you say such nice things to me
Waiting time rather than failed! Soho - Old Dalby move was scheduled for a long wait at Park Lane Junction, instead it went pretty well straight through and was looped at Whitacre, slightly unusually because the loop is 'wrong side' for a Nuneaton-bound service.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” I Corinthians 13:4-8
A lot of different sources are the cause of this artwork. I was planning on doing something completely different for this week's 52WOD, but yesterday and today took a sudden change of turns resulting in the theme I felt the need to cover: LOVE.
What made me stumble upon those Bible verses I quoted atop was Joe's beautifully written post. When he said "I encourage you to peel it apart," I truly sat down and ingested every single word of those verses that appeared before my eyes. Indeed, what beautiful words they are.
I've also realized how often we're used to hate, and how it's so prevalent in our day-to-day lives, in the media and in our relationships. It's so easy for us to bash on another person, another public figure, another opposing viewpoint, but so immensely difficult for us to say something that would edify another's life. We forget too often the eternal truth: Love never fails. No matter what, it will never fail. Never.
(Everything was hand-drawn this week. I feel like what I wanted to achieve called for something imperfect. Also, the photograph belongs to me).
We spotted this red tailed hawk on a tree and it then launched into a full speed attack into a bush in front of us. Here is the hawk taking a brief pause after the failed attack before it took off
A work with coffee and graphite ,, but failed with loosing details and then this quote came to me.
Thanks for the visit have a wonderful weekend
When he shared his idea for "Mobile Sun Block" they mocked him. The Patent Office said his invention lacked Novelty. Now out of pride or as a matter of protest - depending on how you look at it -- he walks the streets, mostly protected from the harmful UV Rays of the Sun.
Failed to incorporate the massive roots of this fig tree into the shot, which is what I was really hoping for. Next time I need to stand Mossman on a rock or ledge higher up so I can get the roots into shot properly. Toy photography rarely turns out perfectly the first attempt.
When you crash in your first run but your main opponent puts in a faultless one and goes into the lead. Then in your second run, you have to give it ALL to win. The pressure was on.
Sometimes it works out. Sometimes it does not.

Looks like flickr has decided to give up its niche as the best photo hosting site on the web to become like everyone else in the name of progress. Weak-minded fail IMO.
History
After an apprenticeship to a Lancaster confectioner in 1873, Milton S. Hershey opened a candy shop in Philadelphia.
The venture failed, and so did a subsequent one in Chicago.
After a third failed business attempt in New York City, Hershey returned to Pennsylvania, where he founded the Lancaster Caramel Company in 1883.
The Hershey Chocolate Company was founded in 1894 as a subsidiary of Lancaster Caramel Company.
In 1896, Hershey built a milk-processing plant so he could create and refine a recipe for his milk chocolate candies.
In 1899, he developed the Hershey process, which is less sensitive to milk quality than traditional methods. In 1900, he began manufacturing the Hershey's Milk Chocolate bar.
20th century
The use of fresh milk in caramels proved successful,[and in 1900, after seeing chocolate-making machines for the first time at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Hershey sold his caramel company for $1,000,000(equal to $36,624,000 today), and concentrated on chocolate.
To people who questioned him, he said, "Caramels are just a fad, but chocolate is a permanent thing."
In 1903, Hershey began construction of a chocolate plant in his hometown of Derry Church, Pennsylvania, later known as Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The town was an inexpensive place for the workers and their families to live, though the factory was built without windows, so that employees would not be distracted.
To increase employee morale, Hershey provided leisure activities and created what would later become Hersheypark. The milk chocolate bars from this plant proved popular, and the company grew rapidly.
In 1907, he introduced a new candy: bite-sized, flat-bottomed, conical pieces of chocolate that he named Hershey's Kiss.
At first, each was wrapped by hand in a square of aluminum foil. The introduction of machine wrapping in 1921 sped up the process and added a small paper ribbon to the top of the package, indicating that it was a genuine Hershey product. Today, over 70 million candies are produced daily.
Other products introduced included Mr. Goodbar (peanuts in milk chocolate) in 1925, Hershey's Syrup in 1926, semi-sweet chocolate chips (a mixture of milk and dark chocolate) in 1928, and the Krackel bar with crisped rice in 1938.
For this photo, envision a blueberry dropping into a spoon of milk, with perfect ripples and milk splashing in a well lit scene. Yes, please envision that because I couldn't achieve any of it before getting bored of trying.
I'm currently working on a Cafe-Corner scale building, and I've been building some furniture for it. Unfortunately, I haven't been thinking clearly about the scale - this furniture takes up half the room. I need to be thinking and building smaller.
L to R: refrigerator, big screen tv, stereo console
The refrigerator doesn't have a back, and it has a piece of tape on top of it. The tape isn't holding it together, it's holding it together better.
Justo después de intentar capturar un pez, aún salpicando las últimas gotas en el agua, parece que la garceta nos mira como disculpándose por haber fallado
Just after trying to catch a fish, still splashing the last drops into the water, it seems that the egret looks at us as if apologizing for having failed.
GWR Centenarian 2857 and SR Q1 sit out the remainder of the Severn Valley Gala at Bewdley after both were declared failed on Saturday night. The loss of these two didn't seem to effect the gala which still provided plenty of action and variety. When we visited on the Sunday services also ran to time.
CEFX GP20D 2005 was tied down in Michigan City after delivering a South Shore coal load to the power plant.
The Michigan City Generating Station is a coal and natural gas-fired power plant located on the shore of Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana. It is operated by Northern Indiana Public Service Company and plans to retire its electricity generating plant in Michigan City between 2026 and 2028.
NIPSCO will turn to solar, energy storage, and upgrades at its Sugar Creek Generating Station near Terre Haute to replace the generating capacity.
South Shore did not acquire the CEFX rebuilds and continues to rely on good old EMD products.
We remember the photo sessions that yielded gold with inspiration and nostalgia. In my experience though that are just as many or more "failed" trips which we look back on and ask: What the hell was I thinking?
A "failed" photo trip does not imply the trip wasn't otherwise fun, but rather--we failed to execute in the field. Why didn't I think of setting the ISO differently? Tripod--hah--I don't need a tripod. No don't pull over now, the shot will still be there in five minutes. I could of sworn I charged the battery. All these phrases and more you have probably uttered too.
So here's a CHEER to the failed trip, for in the mud and muck there are always a few little happy accidents, like this one.
BR Blue liveried 56081 was provided this morning to retrieve 47739 from the Old Dalby test track after the Sulzer failed with flat batteries. The pair are seen arriving into Melton Mowbray amongst some very colourful foliage working 0Z07 to Doncaster. 6th November 2023
I got to hike with my drone out into the Bisti Badlands last Sept 19th, but things didn't work out. Conditions were good, but (1) it took a long time to wait for occasional hikers to pass by, and (2) I couldn't control the drone from the app. I was flying blind, so I cut the attempt short. This was about the best I could do.
Later I realized that my protective rim on the phone was preventing a good connection with the controller. Live & learn.
This scene made me smile, as I approached this ladybird it appeared to try and hide behind this grass stem.
