I decided to try my hand at something a little new, inspired by the AMAZING KittyPinkStars and Siansburys, and this is what I came up with. Trying to be a unique as possible....my idea was a sock faerie - he turned out quite punk rock. I'm thinking of putting him up on etsy - but I'm not sure yet...hmmm. Certainly a funny little guy though.
A giggling faerie. Original speedpaint - email horsetraits@gmail.com if you would like to order a commission
Tons of fun was had coloring this girl found on the Collage Images group. I took a little inspiration from Karen Michel and used the bright colors she's known for.
I never rip pages out of my journal (unless they're blank, to make room for the spine); if I don't like a page, I paint over it. This page was originally a brainstorming page for a fanfic I'm writing that ended up being crossed out as the outline advanced. Instead of leaving the page crossed out, I painted over it. ;)
Two waterfalls visible from the Faerie Glen. This pretty much convinced me I was visiting my favorite computer game of childhood—Myst/Riven.
Soldered Glass Pendant Necklace.
One of three Faerie Queens, who ferried the mortally wounded King Arthur in their Moonboat through the mists to the sacred isle of Avalon. Photoshop illustration. Wood burned tree illustration on the back.
The pendant features a print of the original illustration on archival paper. The image is placed between two pieces of glass. Soldered with Silvergleem lead free silver solder. The glass measures 3/4" x 3/4". It is securely sealed but it is not waterproof. Includes a 16" silver chain necklace.
A lovely faerie flies high in the sky! Her simple beauty and elegance is captured in a glimpse. Her hair flows in the wind. Her green wings are displayed quite naturally, and her expression is peaceful and serene. This painting is great to look at when you need the world around you to just slow down for a bit.
Spinel Faerie is the first in a series of Gemstone Faeries. She is about 9.25 inches tall, and is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton fiber fill & thread, and Swarovski pearls. She will have natural black spinel on her dress. All the colors used represent colors of spinel. She is ball-jointed, and has 13 points of articulation.
Have you played this?
It consists in taking that kind of flowers (wich I don't know the name right now, here we call them "San Pedros"), pull from the pistil and let it fall from a decent hight :o)
Holly Faerie is a OOAK beaded art doll. She is bal-jointed and has 13 points of articulation. She is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton thread & fiber fill, ahimsa silk thread, and Swarovski pearls. She is about 9 inches tall. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, I posted a little about that on my website, if anyone wants to read it, here is the link: faeriedustdolls.wordpress.com/2015/08/17/holly-faerie/
