Who knew? Seems everyone is wearing them these days. I suppose they make the clumsy learning-to-fly, kid faerie landings a bit cushier.

Participated in a burlesque event Friday on the theme "A Midsummer Nights Dream". This is what I wore. I didn't in any way stand out from the crowd, I was pretty conservatively dressed compared to most actually. :)

Holly Faerie is a OOAK beaded art doll. She is bal-jointed and has 13 points of articulation. She is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton thread & fiber fill, ahimsa silk thread, and Swarovski pearls. She is about 9 inches tall. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, I posted a little about that on my website, if anyone wants to read it, here is the link: faeriedustdolls.wordpress.com/2015/08/17/holly-faerie/

Maryah has been making these things like they're going out of style - and they're not!! They make fantastic christmas tree ornaments. They are for sale at House of Indigo Boutique in Nanaimo, as well as making appearances at several craft/art shows as Christmas approaches.

these two faerie statues came with the house.

Playing with techniques in my journal to see how they look before putting them in the Faerie Book I'm working on.

Passing a faerie tree over solstice you see your future caught in the bulb of the hour.

I created this faerie/nymph look for a friend. It's a mix of bold baby blue, pink, purple eyeshadows and various coloured glitter. Oh, and HUGE costume lashes.

I have a video tutorial here to show you how to recreate this look: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF3BRRCDv0g

I've been working on Holly, she's the faerie of the holly plant. I thought she would be really cute for Christmas. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, and it has healing properties too! I will be writing more about that when she is all finished. ^_^

This lovely stranger gave Tabi a big hug when we got there. My heart melted.

This guy was fabulous. He looked great and if i heard right drove down from Canada to be here. I know that is how rumors get started , but in any case he was a very fae faerie. Kudos to you sir.

I photographed this place in summer www.flickr.com/photos/longsidepies/3657972398/ and revisited it yesterday to see the contrast. I love the leaf colours and it seems a black bin liner has joined the party.
