You were the shadow to my light
Did you feel us?
Another star
You fade away
Afraid our aim is out of sight
Wanna see us
Alight
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Was it all in my fantasy?
Where are you now?
Were you only imaginary?

A fairly accurate representation of how we felt after our moving sale this past Saturday. But, nothing daunted, we're forging ahead to move out by September 24th. May the angels send in their equivalent of the Marines to help with the mountain of tasks remaining to be done, lol. This rose is from a bouquet that I just didn't have time to photograph when it was in full bloom.

The fading light was challenging, but the noise / grain is okay. My TZ100 is a good friend to have in my pocket or to hand.
The sun is near to setting. The Owl awakens... waiting for darkness and hunting time.

A typical spring morning in Byron, finds this Canadian National southbound rolling through the small community that sits atop of Byron Hill, with a fast fading Wisconsin Central SD45 doing the honors.

Empire State bldg in full view. Sadly these iconic views are slowly fading and becoming more scant as it becomes enveloped by the modern age. Very melancholy that is slowly fading from view
It's funny how you see things differently once you start getting into photography. This little twig somehow caught my eye from across the yard. I liked how the light was hitting the leaves and the almost fiery glow from the fading sunlight behind them.
It's not hard to know what you're thinking
When you look down on me now
Your trance of love is seeking
To turn this world around
But in my state of blind confusion
No God can pull me out
I see your love is willing
To turn me inside out
And then I see you there
The lonely tears I cry
I wish they'd release me
It's in despair that I find faith
Summon the night to bow down to day
When ignorance is bliss
Save me from myself
And then I see You there
With Your arms open wide and You try to embrace me
These lonely tears I cry
They keep me in chains and I wish they'd release me
Cold is the night but
Colder still is the heart made of stone, turned from clay
And if you follow me
You'll see all the black, all the white fade to grey
Fade to grey
Fade to grey
...but not without shining again in all its glory. The last of the sunlight turned this poppy flower into something beautiful, something unique and unforgettable that evening in June. You will bloom again next year and I will visit you and admire all your beauty to the new you wonder of nature, the poppy flower. Life is so fleeting and we should set out to enjoy every single day and give people a smile, over and over again. It doesn't hurt and doesn't cost us anything!!!
Normality is a paved road, it's easy to walk on - but no flowers grow on it.

Every becoming in nature, in man, in love has to wait, be patient, until its time has come to blossom.
