Fading Light

Here is another shot from Sunday at sunset. Just before the last bit of alpenglow faded, I switched lenses and ran to this little path through the field. I had seen this a little earlier in the evening and thought it would make a great wide angle perspective.

Fishing in th lagoons of Presque Isle, Erie, PA. The sun is fading behind them as it hits the shore in front making the grasses glow. It was a very peaceful and serene scene. This is what people find so relaxing about fishing.

Some of the paintings along the long corridor have deteriorated, including this well known one, the "Battle of Zhuxian County".

In this painting, the Song Dynasty general, Yue Fei (the central figure), turns near defeat into a famous victory against the Jurchen Jin army.

This was originally taken for a photography project at college, although my teacher didn't seem to like it very much. However I thought I would share it here anyway!

I set up my tripod by the beach and experimented a bit. This was the outcome.

Fading

Spotted this faded flower while walking my dog in a neighborhood alley. Went back with my DSLR and snapped a few hand-held shots.

I love the colors and textures.

The sun had just about set in the neighborhood where my wife and I reside.

the sky is fading and so am I

in a matter of seconds we'll become one

When I took this shot, this Hunter Street building in Sydney was badly decaded. However the state of the facade in its fading glory suggested that it was from more ancient times. I'm glad to say that the building has now been given a full heritage restoration and not ripped down like so many of its age.

As the sun was setting there was still a blueness to the sky fading down into a rich red ball. The average time for the sunset is about fourty minutes in Taiwan.

While camping last week at MacGregor Point Park I happened upon this old abandoned log cabin down by the Lake Huron shore. It was great fun to explore and shoot. I couldn't help but wonder who the people were who built this rustic retreat and why they abandoned such a wonderful place !
