See, the idea is that, as a librarian, I am frequently asked questions. Or, to put it another way, questions are asked of me frequently. Right? Best librarian t-shirt ever.

From Unshelved, the library comic strip (no, really.)

Rule #1 of being queen is that you gotta keep your minions in line. I find that fear is the best method.

I got new street tires for my bike today and had to put my loyal servant to work (in reality, he made me learn how to change a tire).

ETA: Now with dialogue ;)

I love Tigger, because like Kitzzy, he is the only one :) This is one of the few t-shirts I own that I actually wear because I think is just so me: Bouncy, Flouncy, Trouncy, Pouncy, Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!!!

I haven't worn it in a while--partly because I do not really like to wear t-shirts and partly because it is kinda short and it was not very flattering when I was heavier.

I love the light coming from the window on the right.

For FGR and T-shirt Tuesday

This is one of 3 new pairs of reading glasses I just got. I'll feature the others in future pictures.

For today's FGR: 16:9 Widescreen

From my aunts 60th birthday party. Me and my two princesses.

This pic was kind of an accident. After I got back from my run and took a shower, I snapped a few quick shots with my hair over my face (which for some reason required a mean look). At first I wasn't going to do the outlaw challenge because today is a busy day, and was just going for the "Cousin It" look. When I saw the pics on my computer, it just screamed mad criminal; finding the site to quickly make the wanted poster sealed the deal.

This pic kinda reminds me of Sirius Black in Harry Potter, or maybe his cousing Bellatrix Lestrange. It's not the exact pose as either of them, but I kinda look like I've gone mad from years in Azkaban ... and of course, the crazy hair :)

I was a total 80s child; I was born in 1978, so I was 11 when the 80s ended. I remember wearing my hair in a side pony tail; I remember wearing lots of dangling jewelry; most of all, I remeber wearing multiple socks and hair ties that perfectly matched my outfit and jewelry.

It is a little scary how easy it was to put together this outfit. The pink "scrunchy" in my hair is actually a leg warmer; I cannot believe I still have these--I distinctly remember when I received them as a christmas present as part of a workout kit when I was a kid. The shirt is actually a recent purchase. The blue underneath is a sports bra I've own since at least high school (probably earlier than that), which I happened to be wearing earlier when I went for a bike ride. I remember wearing these underneath button up shirts throughout high school and barely complying with the dress code.

I really thought I was going to have a hard time with this challenge, but once I remembered and found the leg warmers, it all came together. I am a little peeved that part of this pic is blurry, but none of the other takes fully show all the elements to really bring this together. Besides, the 80s were full of motion, right? :)

For today's FGR: STUCK in the 80s

Shhh ... Just between you and I (and everyone else on the Internet), I must confess that I am a tad obsessive compulsive. For instance, I am obsessed with tagging all my Flickr photos in very specific ways so that I can easily find any of them later or create dynamic sets with dopiaza's Flickr Set Manager.

- Every single picture has the tag "all" because Flickr won't let me do a "NOT" search without including at least one other term

- Every photo has a minimum of about 10 tags: year, month, week, location (country, state, city, locale), camera used.

- Then I of course add several tags describing the picture (such as the project, fgr, groups, etc)

- If there is a person in the picture, it gets another bunch of tags; including some machine tags that link to the picture to the user's profile on flickr and facebook and whether it is a portrait of one, a pair, a couple, or a group.

- I have a little text file on my computer with the most commonly used combinations (e.g. every 365days photo gets these tags to start with: blogthis challenges 365days people portraits singles kitzzy selfportraits flickr:user=kitzzy facebook:user=5115215)

This here picture has 24 tags. I know, I am insane. But how easily can YOU find a photo you took last year? ;)

For today's FGR: Our Little Secret

Starting Weight: 152 (1/29/08)

Previous Weigh-in: 136.4

Current Weigh-in: 136.2

BMI: 25

Weight Difference: -.2

Total Weight Loss: -15.8 in 85 days

Current Goal: 135 lbs (1.2 lbs to go)

Not much of a loss this week, but at least I did not put on any weight. I ate awful last weekend, so it would not have surprised me; I guess I made up for it with all the activity I did this week. I weighed myself before and after the run, and it seems I lost about 1/2 a pound just from this morning's workout. I also rode my bike to work today and to Waterford yesterday. I am feeling great!

I can't believe I took this picture, and I am actually posting it. This is true FGR dedication!! Unfortunately, this coconut bra is way too small, so I had to wear my bathing suit top under--which is also too small but it works for the pic. And I am thrilled at how well I manged to mask my tummy =P

Obviously, this is for today's FGR challange: Ugly Couch Surfing, which is a combination of two groups: Ugly Couch Portraits and Couch Surfing. I like my couch, but surely someone out there will think brown is hideous; if not, the model and outfit will make up the difference ;) Oh, and the reason I am showing so much skin is because it's Half Nekkid Thursday (I am not actually member because the group is full, but I played along anyway).

Finally, Happy Aloha Thursday!

I can't cross my eyes or even stand to look at this picture, so I enlisted my trusty model so I could participate in FGR today. This really freaks me out, so processing this photo was no picnik.

For today's FGR: Crossed eyes.

I took this picture this morning before I left for work (after getting up early and doing W4D1). I did several takes because I looked too serious or my smile too fake, but then I figured it out. I just have to think of something funny and pretend to laugh then my smile comes out natural.

The start of week 4 of the running program went great. I feel so accomplished because it includes almost 3 times as much running as walking, and I did it without any side stitches or wanting to stop during the run intervals. Read the entire W4D1 update at my Fitness Blog.

I have a bunch of reusable bags (both tote bags and smaller produce bags) that I bring with me whenever I go shopping (be it for groceries, clothes, etc) to minimize the amount of plastic bags I bring home. The (negative) reaction I seem to get from some people still amazes me, even though I do not think it is intentional. It's like they make me feel guilty for trying to do my part to save the environment. But I love my canvas bags; they can fit a lot more than the flimsy plastic bags, they are easier to carry comfortably on my shoulder, and I don't have to deal with tons of plastic bags at home.

I got this green bag at publix, but I've also bought some canvas bags, produce bags, and the wrap-n-mat sandwich bags at www.ecobags.com/ and www.reusablebags.com/.

In honor of earth day, and because I really need to make up for all the food I ate this weekend, I also walked to work today.

I wanted to do a clone shot for this, but I just don't have the time today. I was inspired by many fellow FGR shots to do something slightly different than the normal hands covering each part, especially this great shot with a modern twist.

I finally feel comfortable wearing this skirt again. Man, I really need to tan my legs; they are much whiter than my arms.

Another girl from the contest who caught my eye , its not just those multicoloured socks which made her stand out , she had that X factor going for her as well , we are sure to see her more in the future.

For today's FGR: Banana Violence, because you gotta protect your kitchen.
