Teve a construção foi iniciada em 1773, mas as obras de acabamento prolongaram-se até os primeiros vinte anos do século XIX. Em 1818 foi construída uma nova torre, pois a primitiva estava arruinada. Tem apenas uma torre quadrangular, no centro da fachada, encimada por grimpa constituída de esfera armilar, que suporta um galo.
Anualmente celebra-se aí a tradicional Festa do Divino.
