Such fastidious tiny creatures.. the harvest mouse will regularly and nonchalantly wash his face with those tiny paws.

Although this snowy face wash was self-inflicted, there aren't many animals or humans who like a face full of snow in these frigid temperatures. Today was a "warm" day, with the high at 14 degrees F (-10 C) and windchills around 2 F (-17 C).
The gray squirrels have been playing in the snow all day, digging for buried snacks.

Hahaha, so... this is a bandana I use to keep my hair up when I wash my face, and a few streaks seemed to have been bleached into it from my facewash, making a face.
I found it to be wonderfully creepy. :)
This is my first upload in flickr . I shot this pic with Sony DSC W55 . Initially i was toying with the settings in the camera.This was taken in programmed auto settings and macro mode with center focus .
Yuzu has appeared several times in my FAFM efforts, but as a citrus flavour in tea or gin, as a spice in powder or liquid form. This time it is in the gel I wash my face with.
Talking of the different names for letters in different languages, Y in French is called "y grec", the y pronounced ee, meaning Greek i. In a nearby town there is a lovely shop called Y Grec selling authentic Greek specialities.

Fifty-two back on track. I did, in fact, do a photo for Sunday but it turned out completely awful and had to get binned. Then it was back to the drawing board, or whatever the photographic equivalent would be.
My washing grains are based on years of experimentation on ancient formulations with modern sensibilities in mind. All ingredients organic where possible, including the essential oils, so this cleanser has the least chance of reaction for even the most sensitive skin. I designed this product to work with any other regime and for everyday use. It contains no soap of any kind. I grind them as fresh and at the lowest temperature as possible so as not to decrease the efficacy of the delicate herbs and oils.
It can also be used as a mud mask, once or twice a week recommended. Water, honey and yogurt can be used as a base with the Grains. Honey is antibacterial and is especially recommended for problem skin. For a slight natural bleaching effect for freckles and blemishes, the Acidophilus in yogurt increases the efficacy of the elderflower.
Comes in Lavender, Rose, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Orange, Spice, Vanilla and Peppermint!
I made this originally for myself, as I couldn't find it on the market made with quality ingredients as well as reasonably priced, and it is now my most popular product. You'll see these in boutiques and spas for four times the amount! I find that, used daily, the healing herbs and exfoliation can seem to take 5-10 years off my face in about two weeks. They work like magic! Environmentally friendly with all natural, biodegradable ingredients.
If you've never used Grains before, I recommend starting off in the bath or shower, as they can be tricky to rinse off completely in a sink. Now I know why previous generations needed a basin on their vanities: to splash off Washing Grains!

Waiting here with silent obedience as the girls gathered the makeup supplies. Ten minutes earlier, I had washed my face with a Neutrogena facewash and lathered it with a soothing Shisheido moisterizer.
They started first with a light base and some concealer to hide the imperfections above my lips and under the eyes. A layer of liquid foundation was then applied followed by some moderately heavy powder to smooth out any remaining imperfections on my skin.
The eyes were next. A set of false lashes were glued on. The girls then decorated my eyelids with a medium blue shadow and highlighted my eyes with a black eyeliner. Two coats of mascara completed the design.
Some more powder was then applied followed by some pink blush to highlight and raise my cheekbones. My lips were contoured with a deep red pencil and then two coats of vibrant red lipstick were glided across my lips. A shimmery red lip gloss completed what was now my totally efeminate visage.
Standing before me in the mirror was now a shy young lady. As I caught glimpse of her, the girls instructed me to smile. Smiling back were a set of lightly sparkling lips carried beautifully by two glowing pink cheeks. And that set of eyes! The fake lashes and blue shadow highlighted what seemed to be shyness emanating from the delicately decorated eyes. And yet, her occasional timid glance would capture my curiosity, as if it was tempting me to explore the mysteries hiding beneath it.
I quickly broke out of the daydream. I was her, and she was now me.
This sits beside our bath, I don't use it but, on occasion, my wife does!!

Having some fun with a dummy's head, water splashes and my strobes...
Trying to get the effect of the light on the water describing the head shape rather than any other direct illumination.....
Oh, and trying to get to grips with Windows 10 and the changes to Flickr at the same time....... the photography is the easy part!
