A large bright red outdoor abstract sculpture fabricated from steel I beams. The sculpture, named "Flower Power" is located near the downtown core in Toronto, Canada. You can see the Rogers Centre and CN Tower in the far right of it. The art work was created by internationally known artist Mark di Suvero in 1967.

Croydon, South London, seen from the Addington (aka Shirley) Hills Viewpoint. The once thought of tall office blocks are now being dwarfed by new apartment buildings with more planned. The one on the left is a twin tower, right beside East Croydon Station, which can't be appreciated from this angle. It is to be the tallest pre-fabricated building in Europe.

Brookfield Place celebrates Earth Day by releasing a unique flock of 50 luminous floral-patterned birds into the Allen Lambert Galleria. Their propulsion draws on the air we breathe, underscoring the interconnection between man, nature and the preciousness of our environment.
Breath is an iteration of Air Pressure, a successful exhibition of blue birds mounted at Brookfield Place New York. Building on the concept, the Earth Day installation utilizes a variety of floral patterned silks, a natural organic material, to create a cohesive cloud of colourful forms, representing the beautiful complexity of our planets diversity.

3D Printing
When repairing vintage cameras, I often use a 3D printer to design and fabricate replacement parts that are otherwise unavailable. Even after all this time, the intricate movements and precision of this machine fascinates me. I was printing a tiny 5mm wide hollow bushing for a camera I was servicing. I sat watching the printer form the part, layer by layer. I suddenly thought … “I need to photograph this because it’s something many have never seen!” I grabbed a camera and captured this image in the final seconds, just as the hot end of the printer withdrew from the finished print.

This one is a windmill blade fabricated in a Northern City being transported along National Highway 7. the blade is usually much longer than a trailer truck
A private commission from a new client. 15 grams....I fabricated this from scratch. No purchased parts.....except the rubies. I finally got a chance to use an old french oval drawplate to make the wire for the chain. I like this shape better than round wire for chains. I love designing concealed clasps....they are challenging! This clasp is a 'double-click' clasp....very secure....but easy to operate with one hand. I made a big boo-boo on this piece.....I just noticed it now......but it is easily remedied. I failed to engrave part of the letter 'M'.........I was REALLY pressed for time on this piece......I sorta rushed the engraving.......shoot!
I am always fascinated with how they can turn a vacant space into a bar that looks like it has been there for the last 50+ years.
A completely fabricated landscape! I was testing out a new texture and came across this wonderful barn photo, then added a quasar image from NASA, the moon (of course!), some trees and birds - using SkeletalMess brushes and a premade background!
“Penelope” is a hand-fabricated bronze sculpture, created by Fallbrook artist Michael Stutz, and representing the wife of Odysseus in the ancient epic “The Odyssey.” I am always looking for a fresh perspective on San Diego landmarks and what better way than through the eyes of “Penelope.” Taken (7/6/2020).

Shipbuilding in Grimsby is now only undertaken by a couple of yards, this compares to Grimsby's past when the fishing industry and its support industries was a massive employer. That said a small number of boats are still made and skills are still alive and well.
Taken of Central Fabricators' building in the West End neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The intersecting drain pipes were the first thing that caught my eye, but there is a lot more to think about while looking at this shot. Water damage - patch work repairs - blocked up windows - is it still being used? and on and on. The building is quite large and extends both directions out of the picture. There is another set of drain pipes that match this one just to the right.
Central Fabricators says they are custom chemical process equipment manufacturers for the midwest and have been since 1946. I wonder why all the windows have been blocked and what that does for the working conditions inside the building.
Here's a series of 12 shots took from the top of Stainborough Castle, which is a Grade II* Listed Building. It was quite overcast that day. I estimate viewing range was 3-5 miles.
Stainborough Castle is a sham ruin (fake castle) constructed as a garden folly on the Wentworth Castle estate.
In 1727, Thomas Wentworth began building the folly. He wanted to give the impression this estate had been in his family for centuries. In fact he purchase the the estate in 1708. Thomas called the folly Stainborough Castle and renamed the main house Wentworth Castle. To show off his estate, Thomas invited his cousin and rival at Wentworth Woodhouse for an extravagant feast in the castle grounds.
From January to June 2021 work was carried out to improve the condition of Stainborough Castle. Funded by Barnsley Council, the project preserved Thomas Wentworth's creation so that visitors can carry on enjoying it for years to come.
