FYI. I'll tell you a secret hidden in this image, my Friend. Part of the attraction is created by the cloud shadow cutting the image across the horizon and causing the barns to be highlighted! I doubt that most viewers consciously noticed the connection... Did you?

I brought Mom some Tulips and mixed them with some winter greens I picked to brighten her room. I was getting rid of them and decided to take a few cell phone shots. I put a dark box behind and have natural window light. (My phone doesn't take the best of shots, but I like it none the less) Mom loved it. (She is still in hospital, progessing very slowly FYI)
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and we have another green picture for this occasion.
As you might or might not know, I‘m officially back at my office two day per week. Generally my coworkers are ecstatic about those 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home scenario. But in my case, it isn’t a huge improvement since I work part time: 3 days a week. So the 2 days when I have to go to my office are a huge hassle for me. I feel like Mrs Bag lady in this picture ! I have my huge bag (with all the useful things a middle age women (that is me !!) might or might not need while being away from home). Then I have my purse with my money, my phone, my subway card and my office key card … oh and a few emergency masks just in case they would come back in style. And of course, I have my computer bag, with my computer and my headset in it. I have to mention that when the weather is uncertain, I have some spare shoes and an umbrella. It is official people: without even noticing it, I have become a bag lady.

FYI: because of my renovation project I have to, constantly, move our stuff from one room to another on a very short notice !! FYI: I was just told this from a wildlife group...
leaving out globs of peanut butter risks them choking. spread it real nice and thin or stick with raw whole peanuts. rodents can't vomit so certain foods are more dangerous than others (also why poisons work so well on them).
From now on I will definitely spread it thin...

(FYI - those white spots on the buttercup aren't over-exposure but rather damage from the monsoon-like torrential downpours we endured this past Sunday. Rain came down so hard, the sheer velocity beat up the buttercups and clean knocked their colour off. Thankfully this one happened to be the least damaged among them.)
FYI the restaurant in the upper right corner was used as the front for Seinfeld's TV show exterior diner shots.
FYI - I didn't hurt any daisies in the making of this photo, but my Canon 40D did take a turn for the worst. A big ass crack shows up in all my shots, don't know what happened because I never dropped it. I cloned it out the best I could. All I know is the dreaded "error" popped up twice before I looked at my screen and went WTF! Anyway, going to get the camera guy to look at it to see if it can be saved. (It is a shame for I just had it cleaned from all the dust) If not, I will have to look into getting another camera. Anyone have any suggestions on new cameras?
FYI: When I shoot puddle reflections like this, I am usually holding my cell phone about an inch or less above the puddle. Most people have no idea what I'm doing but for this series of shots, a man came up to me and said, "Good eye! I'm a photographer. I love reflections!"
Gosh, I sure love koalas. Can't help but think about all the ones that are in danger in Australia right now. God bless them! FYI....Koalas can sleep up to 18 hours a day. Despite the rumors, koalas don't get high or drugged out on eucalyptus leaves. It is because the leaves are so low in nutrients that koalas need more sleep than most animals which basically helps them to conserve energy.
FYI: Ain't It Funky Now is the title of a funk instrumental by James Brown (1969).

FYI, if you are looking for otters around a sea shore then keep an eye out for rocks with a green covering among those hosting the usual seaweed These appear to be places where otters frequent and deposit scent markings/spraints as can be seen by this one. Presumably they are boundary markers for their territory.

Just having fun.
There's no pose in the cow. You basically have to pick your own pose -- and then use your hover and make yourself float above the ground. Hard part is the cow rotates so you have to wait for it to come back into position.

fair warning, the landing point had a big crash so there's a fair amount of blood there especially near the med tent. if you're squeamish, close your eyes.

I have no idea what this is! I discovered him on a flower on my deck and he posed for me very patiently!!!!
FYI- I have lost 1 dog, 2 cats,and some chickens to coyotes over the last 20 years. My wife has made me get out of bed on many nights and go outside and tell the coyotes to shut it up with the late night yapping!!!!!!!! So why do I take so many photos of this coyote at the marina? I'm not sure why! Nature!!!!!

Sunday while my grandson was weed whacking, his girlfriend natalie was helping me weed. she watered all my dahlia pots for me and then weeded in front of them. now I can see what's in each pot.
