Tonight’s full Moon

I think I gave the barn owl long enough tonight but it was nice to see this lovely moon rise

Full moon rising above the trees

Luna piena di settembre con titolo suggerito da ricordi studenteschi. Una presenza fortisssima e gradita, quando sono lontano dalla città.

Ask it to the moon

September full moon with a title suggested by student memories. A very strong and welcome presence when I am far from the city.

1 day from full. I think taking these moon shots at dusk is better than at full dark as the moon doesn't become overexposed

The July Full Buck Moon's spiritual meaning and name are attributed to the male deer, known as a buck. By late July, the velvety rack of a buck is forming into impressive antlers and viewed as a symbol of fertility.

the little house on the hill.

Last night the #Moon was hidden behind the trees. It was almost fullmoon, but the moon did not want to show its entire face ....

Explore 9/15 #67 ... my first ever moon upload, Happy Slider Sunday!!!

One of my dream picture composition, I waited for so long.

Driving about randomly last evening, I saw this full moon rising over the farm. Apparently. it is known as the Strawberry Moon. I was sans tripod, so the ISO and noise are a little high.

This is a composite of two photos. In the main photo, the moon didn't seem as large or as impressive as it did to my eyes. So I zoomed in and took a second shot and superimposed it in post. I guess it wasn't really this big at all, but it kind of seemed like it to me at the time. So, I took some artistic license.

I used my Canon 100mm macro lens for this one cause it is the sharpest lens I have. I like the results. (f/10, 30 seconds)

from months ago.

mostly we're fogged in, so we rarely see the moon.

I'm cleaning my photo files, and looking at older stuff.

The concentric circle emanating from top were not intended, just an unexpected arrival. But the moon is real!

Beaver Moon aka Blood Moon: I bet you have seen lots of photos of the full moon eclipse today, but I am adding mine to the collection anyway. I ventured as far as my driveway...hence some trees in the scene. It was windy and a chilly 5 C, and I was just rolling out of bed at 6 AM to haul on some warm clothes and take a look to see what I could see. The partial eclipse was underway, and the total eclipse was beginning at 6:15 AM. As the eclipse progressed the sky got brighter, the moon sank towards the horizon and was obscured by some low clouds and the trees. I took a series of photos and merged about 20 of them and then only kept the ones that didn't overlap too much. I am sure there is a better way to stack these in photoshop than having to make numerous layers and masks so one of these days I may try again.

A casa mia la luna non ha mai bussato. È sempre entrata prepotentemente dalle persiane. Come le emozioni forti. Ché mica bussano mai, quelle.

Seeing a beautiful full moon never gets old!

I TOOK THIS SHOT ON 20 AUGUST 2013 IN SOUTH WALES

I had no idea what I was doing but zoomed right in and all I could see was it fast moving out of sight. Somehow I caught it for a second and here it is. I didn't use a tripod. Thanks to the weather forecast on radio 4 just before the 6pm news who pointed out that it was a particularly clear sky and a full moon. That prompted me to take the photo.

Thank you all so much for sharing your quality photos which is a great way to see and keep in touch with the world from home. Also for your kind comments and favours which are much valued.
