This is a memory. A snapshot in time from my youth, frozen into my synapses. One that I recall each time my right knee aches or creaks. Presented to you directly from my cerebrum in full technicolor.
This started as a challenge for myself to pose something kinetic. Something with implied motion. A potential that has continued to fascinate me about creating poses. It wasn't until I was in the editing process that I realized that my mind had been weaving this memory through my clicks and drags. Kinda startling really. The colors aren't part of the memory by the way... it was an overcast day. But perhaps these are it's colors now, so many years later.

I´m completely in love with her :)
I had seen her before on the Nanuka´s flickr but I was told she was a a custom comissioned for my mom (I never knew that Fugazi was for me until I opened my Christmas present and I realized what was in the box). So thanks very much to my mom for such a great present again and thanksvery much to Naiara (aka Nanuka) for keeping this secret safe and making this beatiful and stunning custom girl.
It was an awesome Christmas present and one of the most nice days of my life.

The places where we live are in a constant rush of change. Everywhere is, really. The streets are repaved, a building is torn down, a high rise seems to sprout up overnight.
We notice these changes in small ways, but our minds quickly paper over the old scenes with the new so that we simply can't remember how a street or a downtown used to look.
Photography can allow us to arrest this slip of memory. After a few decades, we can all share our "before & after" photos and muse about how things used to be.
But in places where we don't live but frequent regularly, those changes stand out. For us - the tourist, the visitor, the knowing outsider - those are the changes we see, the changes that cling to us.
I have visited Crawford, Nebraska each July for the past six years. I know the streets, the buildings, the businesses, and I have marked the changes.
Last year, I washed my car at the car wash on Elm. This past July, it was closed. I've photographed it before in both 120 and 4x5, and I took this shot on my last visit.
I'm thinking about breaking this annual tradition next year. I'm not sure I can keep myself away, Nebraska seems to draw me in and is almost impossible to avoid.
Also, "Bill Changer" sounds like a Fugazi song that was never recorded because it just wasn't all that great.
