Flickr21Challenge: Planet
Just another photo I took for the Flickr 21 day photo challenge. A big thank you to my daughter Hope for holding the book for me! xo
The text: How many planets are in our solar system? No one knows. Despite what they told you in school, we have no idea what’s out there. We know that Pluto is some 3.7 billion miles from Earth, but the solar system extends at least another 12 billion miles beyond that, and some scientists suggest it goes a lot farther. So at a minimum, 75 percent of our solar system is still a mystery.
—Zen Science: Stop and Smell the Universe pp. 58–59
P.S. Pluto is now classified as a dwarf planet, which is still a planet in my books! ;)
Another of the spider from the other day.

Alexandra Palace, Haringey, London. The security lady on the right kindly stood back until I'd taken my shot, not realising that she would be in it anyway with a fish eye lens being used.
With all his/her cuteness (I do think this may be a male), this one devoured about three-quarter of my tube feeder in a day and a half! All by his lonesome too.

A pub beside London Bridge Railway Station, and a reflection in one of the ornamental fountains across the street.

This little hummingbird is taking a break on a small bare branch of a tree in our backyard. And monitoring the nearby feeder to make sure intruders do not steal it's food.
From a very short dog walk this morning.

Was in Portsmouth earlier today and had another go at street photography (wide angle). Very hit and miss, but I think I got a few good ones.

Although we have not received our customary spring rain yet ( almost two months late now), some flowers have still decided to make life beautiful.
With all these lovely light and colors, I had to try to capture what I see in my mind.
At Randfontein in my (very dry) garden using the Helios 44-2 2/58 Soviet lens (from 1975) with M adaptor to F adaptor and FTZ adaptor on Nikon Z5.
Handheld in manual mode.
Another from yesterday and another I felt benefited from selective colour.

The pedestrian subway and shopping mall linking London Bridge mainline station with the Underground Station.
Had another shot at these daffs. Ended up laying on the ground this time.
