O que é batalha?

O freestyle é uma batalha do improviso que nasceu junto com o movimento Hip Hop. Quando o sound system (dois toca-discos interligados, com dois amplificadores e um microfone) se popularizou na periferia de Nova York, em meados dos anos 60, alguns músicos pegavam os seus equipamentos e iam para rua animar os diferentes quarteirões do Bronx. “Os DJ’s que nessa época também tinham a função de MC’s pegavam o microfone e defendiam seu som.

During the intermission, the dozers and forklifts came out to reconfigure the jumps for the freestyle competition.
The boys and I hit Monster Jam at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI. It was a boys day out and we spent the entire day (9:30am - 4:30pm) at the arena for Pit Pass & the show. A day full of giant trunks, sugary drinks, hot dogs, chicken fingers and fries and HORSE POWER!
