At rest in the Pentland Firth, off the north coast of Scotland. The Jura was, at the time I took this, operated by the SFPA (Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency). Now the SFPA has been absorbed into what is clumsily known as Marine Scotland Compliance!

FPV Westra on patrol. The ship is build by Hall, Russell & Company in Aberdeen, launched in 1975 and decommissioned in 2003. It was purchased by Sea Shepherd in 2005 and was renamed MY Robert Hunter in memory of the founding member of Greenpeace. The vessel has since been renamed MY Steve Irwin. This 'island type' is an offshore patrol vessel with a displacement of 1,017 tonnes and a maximum speed of 16.5 knots. More info on WP.

A wide open wheat field looked like a good spot to let my drone go. No issues from the farmer but a man on a riding lawn mower would come by to see what I was doing in a church parking lot.
FPV slope soaring is difficult if you can't see the slope. Need to see your height and proximity to the ridgetop. Panning camera tray allows me to look around using the rudder stick. Can switch back to rudder if needed.
