Someone gave me an old camera with an exposed roll of FP4 plus film in it. When I developed the roll I found that there was a large amount of fog and most of the photos vcame out as weak positives. The edge marking on the film says ILFORFD FP4 PLUS 6697
I don't know if this would containe the manufacturing date.
FP4 plus was introduced in 1990
Found at a local antique store - $26 USD. Came with camera case, matched lens hood, 3 filters and a leather accessory case. A great deal. Not a prime piece, however. Some corrosion, loose body covering, and some minor dings and dents. No matter, a few things I can mend, others will just have to be ignored. I have always admired/laughed at the odd shutter winding plunger engineering. Feels like I'm setting off dynamite with every shot.
The lone Whooper Swan was stil there in the distant mist on the wetland @ Sculthorpe Moor. Unusual for one to be on it's own for a long period. At least he found a part of the wetland not frozen but right down @ the bottom end
Pompeii was founded in the 8th century B.C. by the Oscans, a tribe of peasants and shepherds. By the 6th century B.C. the area was under Greek influence. About 400 B.C. the city was conquered by the Samnites. Rome conquered Pompeii in 80 B.C.
By 79 A.D. Pompeii was a city covering 160 acres with a population of 20,000. Sixty percent of the inhabitants were free and 40% were slaves.
Prior to the eruption of Vesuvius, Pompeii was a thriving city. Then it was buried with so little warning that Pompeii was literally frozen in time.

I bought a Super Ikonta A and found a roll of exposed Russian film in it. This was the most salvageable of the images on the film when I developed it.
According to the seller, his grandfather found the camera in Germany when serving in the Soviet invasion forces, and used it professionally after the war. He believes that this is a picture of his mother as a young girl in the early 1960s.

It can be challenging to get a good photo in the forest without fog or mist. You always need to be extra creative in pursuit of something decent. I love shooting this scene. I do it in all seasons.
I was deliberately planning to shoot in this forest for this shot. The fresh lush forest is just too attractive to me. Hope one day to manage to photograph it in foggy conditions, as I never did. Although I found this forest as a local one, it still needs some sort of vehicle to get there and I have other places where I go when fog is outside.
I wanted to include a trail as a contrast to the greens around. It was a cloudy and overcast day. Perfect for forest shots. I have a position that is a bit above the trail. From there I choose the most optimal perspective for me to take a shot. This scene I found a few years ago which is strange given the fact I go to this forest much longer. It looks magical in autumn. Can’t wait for yellows and oranges to come to this place to photograph it.
Anyway, I took a bunch of photos that day from this place, came home, transferred them and then totally forgot about even going for a shot, as that was the second time in a short period I went there. Just last week I suddenly recalled that I may have an ‘’extra’’ album with photos… And here it is. In the edit, I did some dodging and burning to make the light stand out a bit. Different shades of greens are such a spring thing. Hope you like the photo. I’m highly open to any feedback you have.

Founded as a Greek colony in the 6th century B.C., Agrigento became one of the leading cities in the Mediterranean world. Its supremacy and pride are demonstrated by the remains of the magnificent Doric temples that dominate the ancient town, much of which still lies intact under today's fields and orchards. Selected excavated areas throw light on the later Hellenistic and Roman town and the burial practices of its early Christian inhabitants.
Found Kodachrome slide dated October 1984 showing a branch of the Wendy's fast food chain. I can't see anything in the picture to give away whether this is the UK or the USA

Okay, story time. I've been uploading my shots from this roll chronologically and it's pretty crazy that this is the upcoming one for today. This is our lovely white cat, Ferret. He's just a simple house cat (the best kind of cat) but his snow white fur and mismatched blue and amber eyes make him look like royalty. He escaped our flat yesterday when relatives were coming home after shopping. I was away in my hometown and wasn't worried at first when they called to say they couldn't find him because no one actually saw him leave and most likely he was just hiding somewhere inside. But they searched up and down, everywhere in the neighbourhood, and he was nowhere. We got on the first train at dawn today to come back and look for him. I spent hours and hours roaming the neighbourhood and putting up "lost cat" signs. Even likedevonianrock came over to help. Once I had no more houses to cover, I went upstairs and wasn't sure what to do any more. We were just looking out the window when my boyfriend's dad spotted him down in the school yard you can see in this photo, sticking his head out from under a green metal container. It was a terrible day but we recovered him safely, he's unhurt.
