In Greenland's frigid high arctic around the settlement of Savissivik, icebergs flow into Baffin Bay. One would be foolish to try to pass through this blue archway as you never know when the iceberg might split or turn.
"Stay hungry. Stay foolish. Never let go of your appetite to go after new ideas, new experiences, and new adventures."
Quote - Steve Jobs
I see a blue fish who almost has caught something ……. ;-)) And you…... what do you see?
Have a nice week ahead !
From my house-renovation archive.
Well in case you failed to notice,
In case you failed to see,
This is my heart bleeding before you,
This is me down on my knees, and...
These foolish games are tearing me apart,
And your thoughtless words are breaking my heart.
You're breaking my heart.
The very thought of you and I forget to do
The little ordinary things that everyone ought to do
I'm living in a kind of daydream
I'm happy as a king
And foolish though it may seem
To me that's everything
The mere idea of you, the longing here for you
You'll never know how slow the moments go till
I'm near to you
I see your face in every flower
Your eyes in stars above
It's just the thought of you
The very thought of you, my love
I see your face in every flower
Your eyes in stars above
It's just the thought of you
The very thought of you, my love
(Lyrics from Michael Bublé - The Very Thought of You)
I came in from the outside, burned out from a joy ride
She likes to roll here in my ashes anyway
Played from the bedside is "Stella By Starlight"
"That Was My Heart," the drums that start off "Night And Day"
The same kind of music haunts her bedroom
I'm almost me again, she's almost you
I wouldn't know where to start
"Sweet Music" playing "In The Dark"
Be still, "My Foolish Heart"
Don't ruin this on me
I wouldn't know where to start
"Sweet Music" playing "In The Dark"
Be still, "My Foolish Heart"
Don't ruin this on me
There's a war inside my head
And I'm drowning in regret
When the lights come down
Got an empty crown
My body's missing pieces
Can't pull it all together
My body's missing pieces
I wish I could remember
My body's missing pieces
Can't pull it all together
My body's missing pieces
I wish I could remember

Lying in the Sun
I hear the light, the sunlight pizzicato
The heat is speaking to my face again
I'm lying back not just like that but just so
I lie again in light light-minded monomane
I’m lying stretched out singing in my skin
I'm answering the light and singing softly
I'm foolish not apart from human things
And sing about the light around and on me
I’m lying all so southern utterly not knowing
Just what to do I’m only lying still
I only know the miracle of light here showing
I only know all that I ever will.

I was born, I was born to be with you
In this space and time
After that, and ever after, I haven't had a clue, only to regret
This foolishness can leave a heart black and blue, oh
Only love, only love can leave such a mark
But only love, only love can leave such a scar
I was born, I was born to sing for you
I didn't have a choice
To lift you up
And sing whatever song you wanted me to
I give you back my voice, from the womb
My first cry, it was a joyful noise, oh
Only love, only love can leave such a mark
And only love, only love can leave such a scar
Just a fire, till we die, you and I will magnify
Oh magnificent, magnificent
I foolishly thought at 9:00 PM this overpass would be an easy shot without people. Boy was I wrong!
This is a connector between the MRT (underground) and Airport Rail Link and was jammed packed with people. This one took 45 minutes to get a people free shot. A reasonable person would have given up after a minute or two as the scene is OK but not great

The bullsnake is a subspecies of the gopher snake found here in northeastern Iowa. Bullsnakes are the largest snakes in Iowa, with adults reaching a length of nearly nine feet. This one is about 65 inches long, so its got a bit more growing to go. Since they can coil up, hiss and vibrate their tail to rattle nearby vegetation, many foolish people needlessly kill them even though they are harmless unless you're a large rodent.
The last time I'd visited Diamond Beach near the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon in 2019 I came away feeling particularly despondent after failing to make the most of my visit. The weather conditions hadn't been favourable with heavy rain falling so I had retreated to the warmth of the campervan. It was only when I'd returned home that I realised how foolish I had been not making the most of that visit.
This time around I was determined not to make the same mistake!
Once you get onto the black sand and witness these large chunks of ice washing up along the shoreline you realise it's a magical place. The conditions were flat with drizzle in the air but thankfully light pockets of light were creeping through the clouds.
If you're lucky enough to catch the light the ice shines and diamond beach comes alive.

"We didn’t need words sometimes. They would get in the way by over explaining and still unable to understand all the sentences that laid splayed out in front of us like a scrabble game with no vowels. Let’s sit in the quiet for awhile and just… Hold each other… Let this pass … We can find the words when they find us …. "

The night is like a lovely tune
Beware my foolish heart
How white the ever constant moon
Take care my foolish heart
There's a line between love and fascination
That's hard to see, how many names such as this
For they both have the very same sensation
When you're locked in the magic of a kiss
Her lips are much too close to mine
Beware my foolish heart
But should our eager lips combine
Then let the fire start
For this time it isn't fascination
Or a dream that will fade and fall apart
It's love, this time it's love
My foolish heart

42:52, photograph something you've never shot before, in a style you've never used, so it's not recognizable as yours
Strapped for time I processed this older image in a style I've never tried before. I hope it makes you nervous.
40009 and 40033 pass the signal box at Blea Moor with 1Z68, the Hertfordshire Railtours 'The Leuchars Aide'.
Running as 1Z68, the 0700 from Euston to Dundee, the Leuchars Aide was a marathon weekend tour. 86220 had provided traction to Wigan and the forties were taking the tour to Carlisle.
After Carlisle, the tour took a run up the Glasgow and South Western, then via Ayr to Glasgow. 47410 would later take over to run up to Dundee, passing through the aforementioned 'Leuchars'.

I was running down the road
The fear was all I knew
I was looking for a soul that’s real
Then I ran into you
And that cherry blossom tree
Was a gateway to the sun
And friendship, once it’s won
It’s won, it’s one
Northside
Just across the river to the Southside
That’s a long way here
All the green and all the gold
The hurt you hide
The joy that you hold
The foolish pride
That gets you out the door
Up on Cedarwood
Cedarwood Road
Sleepwalking down the road
Not waking from these dreams
‘Cause it’s never dead
It’s still my head
It was a warzone in my teens
I’m still standing on that street
Still need an enemy
The worst ones I can’t see
You can, you can
Northside
Just across the river from the Southside
That’s a long way here
All the green and all the gold
The hurt you hide
And the joy that you hold
The foolish pride
That sends you back for more
Up on Cedarwood
Cedarwood Road
If the door is open it isn’t theft
You can’t return to where you’ve never left
Blossoms falling from a tree
They cover you and cover me
Symbols clashing, bibles smashing
Paint the world you need to see
Sometimes fear is the only place
That we can call our home
Cedarwood Road
And a heart that is broken
Is a heart that is open
Open, open

“ I always tried to live alone, every day was a story of a single girl. I was good even on a deserted island. I tried to build walls. No one held onto me. So I felt so free, the foolish me. In a nice little well, I only cared for me and myself., But then you held your hand out to me.” -THE ARK (THE LIGHT)

They're not like peaches or squash. Plumpness isn't for them. They like being lean, as if for the narrow path. The beans themselves sit quietly inside their green pods. Instinctively one picks with care, never tearing down the fine vine, never not noticing their crisp bodies, or feeling their willingness for the pot, for the fire.
I have thought sometimes that something -- I can't name it -- watches as I walk the rows, accepting the gift of their lives to assist mine.
I know what you think: this is foolishness. They're only vegetables. Even the blossoms with which they begin are small and pale, hardly significant. Our hands, or minds, our feet hold more intelligence. With this I have no quarrel.
But, what about virtue?
Poetry by Mary Oliver
Oh my, this has to be just about the cutest little something I have ever seen! We had a grand (and long) day out this past Sunday and we spotted this wee little mini horse at the Elegius Mini Equine Sanctuary in Highland County, Virginia. I would be surprised if he came up any higher than my knees! We just wanted to hug him but the tall fence between us wouldn't allow for such foolishness. We have been by this sanctuary before and stopped once to chat with one of the owners. We always leave money in the box provided for the wee little ones.
We found two new (to us) roads to travel down bringing us out at unexpected places, saw many things and met some interesting people including a fellow photographer. Our first real adventure in over a month! More stuff to come. I hope you all are enjoying a marvelous day! :)
Just back from a 15 day, 60 site Urbex marathon in Italy. With much appreciation, I'd like to give thanks to some wonderful people for helping make this trip a huge success...
