Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US. As the year comes to a close, I am thankful for all of my friends that I have made through photography. This little hobby that I started a few years ago has taken me to places that I never thought that I would see and many places that I didn't even know about before then. Who knew that I would become so familiar with places like Banff, Skye, Tuscany, Cornwall, Dorset and the list goes on. As 2020 approaches, I am looking forward to another great year of adventures. Thank you for joining me.

A photo from quite a while back (wow.. over 2 years ago!; I just looked at the EXIF data, and had no idea it was THAT long ago). I felt the background was too busy, so darkened it all down to black.
After a wild night while chasing sprites and nearby lightning, the last storm moved northeast. As a nice surprise the sun came up while lightning bolts flashed between the clouds. An awesome moment.....
