Ovesca creek at sunset

On my latest trip out I was determined to try some variations on what I usually come away with.

Having been stuck in for several months, I've realised that I was caught in the trap of coming away with lots of very similar images. So my goal is to try and rectify this and make my captures a little more interesting.

I've always been concerned that I would miss the moment by moving too far or changing the lens/settings.

Im not sure I'm one for patiently waiting for that one image, or following all the rules for that matter.

I decided after taking many freeze frame images, to slow things down and capture that water in it's full flow.

I was limited comp wise, as I didn't fancy being soaked by one of the bigger waves, hence the central position of the lighthouse.

I've also cropped it a little to give it that bit more impact (I need a bigger zoom

Fluid lines of trunks and boughs.

A recent walk in the woods.

This was kind of a difficult challenge for me because there is so much glass around I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to submit to this group this week. But I liked the somewhat fluid look to the glass flower etchings on this vase. And it converted into a pretty cool mono image.

Inboard engine stirring up a bit of a whirlpool as the boat makes a tight turn in the river channel.

This image was captured by boat on the southern arm of the scenic Alouette River.

You can also capture this area by foot, but nothing compares to experiencing this life style by floating into the scene and becoming one with the peacefulness and beauty that 'surrounds' you.

This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Fluid. Found a Canada Goose swimming around on a sunny day. HMMM!

The drop is composed of stigmatic fluid...

Olive oil and water

This picture is a bit different to my usual, this is a more personal picture. For a very long time I have struggled with my own gender, recently I accepted that I am gender fluid. I enjoy boyish and girlish things, clothes and activities. So for anyone else out there that may be struggling with this as well, know that it is ok and you are not alone. People either accept you for who you are, or they are not worthy of being in your life! Its ok to be different! Just be yourself \o/. After so many years of being confused and scared, I have finally accepted myself as gender fluid, and this picture is to officially accept myself. I am not a boy, I am not a girl, I am me. Just me.

The “line_up“ is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The “liners” are made out of paper (Din A3/A4),

oil paint and graphite. The theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers.
