Fleetwood Mac: The I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain.
had so many great thoughts in my head for a photo today.
none of them worked.
one of those days, i guess.
song of the day: landslide, by fleetwood mac
During a biketour in the South of The Netherlands I saw this black statue which reminded me immediately to Fleetwood Mac's song Black magic woman.
Straight out of the camera (no raw) and edited in Photofiltre .
Well, it isn't really a landslide but it, kind of, could be! It was the closest I could get to one of my favourite songs and most favourite bands! I've been lucky enough to see the original Fleetwood Mac up to the recent departure of Lyndsey Buckingham ~ lovely this song featuring the fantastic Stevie Nicks .... hope you also enjoy this one!!

So I'm back to the Velvet Underground
Back to the floor that I love
To a room with some lace and paper flowers
Back to the gypsy that I was
To the gypsy that I was
And it all comes down to you
Well, you know that it does, well
Lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
Oh, and it lights up the night
And you see your gypsy
You see your gypsy
To the gypsy that remains
She faces freedom
With a little fear
I have no fear
I have only love
And if I was a child
And the child was enough
Enough for me to love
Enough to love
She is dancing away from you now
She was just a wish
She was just a wish
And her memory is all that is left for you now
You see your gypsy, oh
You see your gypsy, ooh-ooh
Oh Oh-oh-oh-oh
(Lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
And it all comes down to you)
And it all comes down to you
(Lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
And it all comes down to you)
I still see your, your bright eyes, bright eyes
(And it all comes down to you)
downtown manhattan panorama comprised of five images - there is some subtle evidence of stitching in my first effort, but I think it fairly represents what I was trying to do for now and at the time of day that suits this pretty well. >>>>liberty state park, jersey city, nj
the idea of doing a panorama itself was partly inspired by airport_sleeper's Stitch This!
you really must see the original size here
or just the large view
Well my trusty Canon just wasn't doing justice to those panoramic sea views, and my tripod was hardly sturdy enough to cope with a Cornish storm, so it was time for an upgrade.
No?
Oh, alright then....
This gorgeous bit of kit belongs to BBC cameraman Mark Yates, he was at Sennen Cove this morning filming for a new series on the Atlantic, due on your screens in ... a couple of years.
But you heard it here first :)
Wish I'd asked to have a go ...

On a cold winter night, this image triggers a thought that may make little sense. The intensified color brings to mind a haunting song. "The Green Manalishi" documents a man's struggle to stop his descent into madness. Don't we all feel a little mad in the depth of winter?

Go Your Own Way 420, based on the tune Go Your Own Way – Live, by Fleetwood Mac off their deluxe edition album Rumours
Loving you
Isn't the right thing to do
How can I ever change things
That I feel
If I could
Maybe I'd give you my world
How can I
When you won't take it from me

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to...
Oh well...
