This seaside pavilion was built in 1902 or 1904. It replaced a pagoda designed by Decimus Burton, around which he planned the layout of Fleetwood. The pavilion is constructed of roughcast brick with tile roofs. It has an octagonal dome with a copper roof.

Fleetwood is a neighborhood in The Bronx, and this is a view of the Grand Concourse, the 5.2-mile-long thoroughfare, where it runs through that neighborhood.

Just look at those beautiful eyes. Bright as buttons. It looks like she might have been saying something, but she certainly didn't know the photo was being taken. Rather pleased with this candid.
September 2025 and we were at Fleetwood to have a bit of a walk along the seafront. Neither of us can walk as much as we used to be able to, but we managed a stroll, going further than we did last time we went to Fleetwood.
Both our pets [one cat and one dog] are buried in the garden at home and she likes to pick up pebbles or shells from seaside places we visit. She then puts them around the edge of each grave, replacing any that have gone a bit grubby. There are Items from all over the UK from Orkney at the top of Scotland to Chesil Beach in Dorset on the South Coast.
This was taken a couple of days after her birthday. I'm not saying her age, but you can probably guess looking at some of the dates on earlier photos.
We had an enjoyable few hours as it was a reasonably warm day for the end of September. After collecting the booty, we walked back to the car and ate our sandwiches sitting on the Esplanade watching the tide come in and several Little Egrets flying around. [30/12/25]

Great cloud formations today so I decided to setup and wait for the clouds to line up behind the tower.
Now dissused but still a big part of the towns history.
Well here is the latest of the American motors to turn up on a nearby front lawn , a Cadillac Fleetwood according to the trim logos . I do not know exact model and date for this one - the odd window arrangement might be a clue to a Cadillac aficionado , my best guess is from the 70s - I am open to any suggestions .
The Cadillac Fleetwood is a model of luxury car that was manufactured by the Cadillac division of General Motors between 1976 and 1996. The "Fleetwood" name was previously used as a prefix on several of Cadillac's models dating back to 1935. Four-door cars bearing the name "Fleetwood" generally had longer wheelbases than Cadillac's more common Series 62 and DeVille models. As one can see it has come to be worked on , again not sure what is being done - but that is a lot of car jacked up there .
Through 1984, all Fleetwood series cars were rear-wheel drive. For 1985, "Fleetwood" was used on new front wheel drive models which were made through 1992. In 1987, a stretched wheelbase car was offered and named the Fleetwood 60 Special, a name which was last used in 1970 for the non-Brougham RWD Fleetwood car. During this time, the rear wheel drive cars built on the older Fleetwood platform dating from 1977 continued to be offered as "Fleetwood Brougham" (later shortened to "Brougham"). In 1993, a new rear-wheel drive Fleetwood was introduced, but was discontinued after 1996.
Before 1934, all Cadillac models could be ordered with bodies built by General Motors' Fleetwood operation in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, instead of their usual Fisher Body, and between 1935 and 1941, cars bearing the Fleetwood name were assembled there.
From previous shots at this house , I think under the tarpaulin is one of two Ford Galaxie 500s and somewhere there is a Plymouth Road Runner !!
