Musk Lorikeet (Glossopsitta concinna)
With gentle soaking rain falling we are on a 'wet day timetable' today - isn't that fun when the kids are on school holidays!
So some images from the files today.
Australasian Gannet (Morus serrator)
A look back to this day in 2018.
I don't often see Gannets so thought I would post this image.
A flashback to last December when there was less rain and more sunshine. We've had a very rainy week here in Pittsburgh and the forecast looks rough for tomorrow's cars and coffee as well.

One from this day last year.
I haven't seen many butterflies so far this Spring. Perhaps because it has been quite cool.
Nearly two years ago, I got my first taste of York Rail and more specifically, their last operational CF7. Here, paired with GP15 #1531, the duo heads for the small yard in York where they interchange with NS.
Not much to shoot these days in my part of the world, so I thought I would do a puffin flashback. Puffins always make me feel better.
Since the Hoosac tunnel detour trains earlier this year, daylight Pan Am trains on the NECR are a rare. After hearing the district 3 dispatcher tell a track Forman that a southbound train would be coming out of Bellows Falls later in the day, I got off work and headed to Bellows. Getting there just in time to see BFED poke it’s head end out of the tunnel where everyone’s favorite local fire chief Shaun McGinnis. I followed the train south and despite the clouds got sun in every spot such as here as painted B40 #5968 leading a blob B40 and it’s loaded slurry train into town.
