I am sad tonight.
The fishes were not thriving in our pond. We needed pumps , filtres , outdoor electrics and it would cost £1,000 . Not feasable so today I got the aquatics shop to collect the fish for a better environment. I was fond of watching them and will miss them for a while.
The reflections were in the bucket as they were waiting for collection.

Hand blown miniature glass fish. Green fish is 3" long; pink fish is 2¼" tall. May 2015.
Some things just make me smile.
This is Lolita's premier--off the first roll from Bob Delaney's Trip 35. It performed flawlessly--not one problem. Many thanks again Bob! For me, this kind of shooting is what the Trip really does best. I just love the way it handles night shots. Truly, this is a gift that will keep on giving!
Fish cakes, which are known as "bung-uh-pang" are a common sweet sold by street vendors in South Korea. It is a fish-shaped "pancake" that is hollow and filled with sweet paste. They are served hot and only in the cold season, so this was taken on one of the last days that they were open.

My wife speared the Lion Fish to feed the sharks and Morays. Since Lion Fish are not native to the reef in Belize, and actually cause harm to its overall health by eating the smaller fish, it is the only fish you are allowed to hunt.
Two young osprey on the nest of the female osprey in the previous photo. Again, taken with the long lens set-up a German tourist let me try (1275 mm equivalent).
Wikipedia: The Osprey has a worldwide distribution and is found in temperate and tropical regions of all continents except Antarctica. Fish make up 99% of the Osprey's diet.

Few things more frustrating than aquarium photography, trust me.
Experimental - Years back I did a lot of koy fish photography. It was easier as they would come up to the surface and I was able to have a sharp image. When I saw this school of fish, I decided to experiment. From deep to shallow water, light, shadow, etc.... useful information for more fish images.
Afer a long break (was getting sick of fish and co!)...yummy!

Fix You
When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
When the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
If you never try, then you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I...
Tears stream down your face
I promise you that I'll learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I...
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Small pen and ink sketch of an articulated mother of pearl fish sculpture.
This pen surprised me. It’s been sitting unused for months. I thought it would need a thorough cleaning, but when I tried it, it started right away.

A tiny Grebe swallows a fish not much smaller that it. On Fridays I work from home, so I am able to use my lunch hour to feed my need to capture fun images. The Golden tone of the entire shot was really nice to shoot.

Thanks to all my flickr friends for taking the time to visit, comment and fave - I appreciate it!
I was able to do some snorkeling in Grand Cayman as part of a Caribbean cruise recently. The reef there is the prettiest I have every seen and it was full of fish. Unfortunately my underwater camera somehow got moisture inside the lens so I had to rely on my Sony FDR3000 for videos only. So I will be posting some clips of the best underwater moments I captured. As usual Flickr doesn't like 4k video so downsampled to 1080p hd.
