or Buddha+s hand, got it´s name from the segmented parts of the fruit which resemble the stylized fingers in a representation of Buddha. It also makes a tasty zest for cooking.
This rock holds significance in local legend. It is said that Trøllkonufingur is the finger of a large witch who arrived on the Faroe Islands to attempt to throw them northwards to Iceland. The legend holds that she was unsuccessful in this mission, instead reaching the sea by Vágar and turning into stone from the power of the sun. Due to her sheer size, it is said that she fell backwards into the ocean, with only her finger sticking out of the water. That pointed appendage became what is now known as the Trøllkonufingur.

A combo of Southern Pacific and Rio Grande EMDs power an Energy Mine to Mississippi Coal train past 300 ft. Finger Rock south of Yampa, Colorado on D&RGW's Craig Branch.
Thought I would post something a bit different to my usual plant bokeh shots! Baby fingers belong to my newest grandchild. She is absolutely gorgeous - not that I am biased of course!
At the Five Finger Rapids four islands divide the Yukon River into five narrow channels. The rapids were a common obstacle for gold seekers during the Klondike Gold Rush. It is the only stretch of whitewater on the 715 km (444 miles) canoe trip between Whitehorse and Dawson City, the route of the annual Yukon River Quest canoe race. The channel at the bottom right is the recommended way through the rapids. It was used by sternwheelers during the gold rush. Drone panorama from 5 vertical photos.

It was a windy afternoon. The sea spray kept falling over my lens. It ruined almost all my pictures. Just one escaped global destruction!
Another shot from my wander in the woods during the week . So many compositions everywhere you look here , this one I kept wide to include the tree in the background with the base all covered in moss . It`s very boggy everywhere, you do find yourself sinking in some places with a lot of water underneath the carpet of leaves, I did encounter some Deer but they did not like my presence and stormed off before I realised they were there. .
