Expired Ilford FP4+. Double exposure by me.

The image of the sheep was taken by me near Bicester on an Olympus 35DC camera on the 1st Dec 2012. The buildings and people were taken by me on a Cosmic Symbol camera in Broad Street, Oxford city centre on November 16th 2014.

This is an unintentional film swap. I originally put this charity shop roll of expired Ilford FP4+ into an Olympus 35DC in 2008, and shot the occasional frame on it until 2011, and again in 2012 until the camera got put away in a tidying frenzy. In 2014 I pulled it out to finish the film but by then the battery was dead. I thought I had at least half the film still left to shoot, so I rewound it and put it into my Cosmic Symbol, which would need no battery. I thought I had shot through the correct number of frames with my hand over the lens to get to the unexposed part but evidently I underestimated this because there are a lot of double exposures.

The difference between my life in 2012 and now in 2014 is represented in some of these images. In many ways they show what my overlapping memories and feelings seem like. They are not a traditional film swap, but the "difference in me" between then and now almost makes up for the two images not being taken by different people, so I'm treating them as if they were.

I finally got this roll of Agfa Pro 200 developed.

My Flickr friend "Dralous" www.flickr.com/photos/dralous/ and i came up with the idea of a film swap, I shoot a roll, he shoots a roll, we send the rolls to each other and reshoot for some interesting double exposures.

I had no idea what camera he was using and I did not communicate what i was going to use. We tried to line up the exposures for an exact match but as you can see here, this image includes two frames. When I got the film developed, I asked the store not to cut the roll so i could assess where it needed to be cut based on the results.

Dralous used a Holga 135 BC for the initial exposure and i used an Olympus OM-10 for the second set of exposures.

Lots of fun and some interesting results !

I think I may include this in my "ShitCam" series ... Holga 135 BC ... perhaps ... Olympus OM 10 ... nah ... but you know what, it's my freakin series, I can do whatever I want !!!!

Two rolls outbound to my good friends over in the land of McDonalds. One for him & one for her. Can't wait to find out if international mail gets x-rayed . . . . . . . . . . . . . . It should add to the randomness of our multiple exposures if nothing else.

Part of a film swap I did with cx33000. If anybody is interested in a film swap send me a message. cx33000 used an SLR while I used an Oktomat. I covered half the lenses, top or bottom, then randomly covered the other lenses. Repeat as necessary.
