Fifth Element is one of the movies I’ll watch over and over again.
I’ve been working on this taxi from the movie for quite a long time and finished it today. Difficulty in getting the right parts (and learning a few things about some popular Bricklink sellers), a mishap that caused me to order a new set of stickers, plus this is a fragile model and has come apart more than once. But it’s done and as soon as I find the minifigs I bought to go with it…

This wicked tongue says
God is a million miles away
This wicked tongue says
He can't see my day to day
This wicked tongue says
Go on, taste everything
And this wicked tongue says
You know you're not really living
And it stares into the sun
And it flies from star to star
Cursing everyone
In my ringing ears
And the noise is as much as I can bear
So I asked her where's the heart?
In the rubbish heap of man
So I asked her where's the soul?
And the silence rang and rang and rang and rang and rang
So I stare into the sun
And I fly from star to star…

I'm not normally one for posting selfies especially with my ever increasing rotundity but with a low down angle such as this I'll count this as a win!
Greek classic four elements: Earth, Water, Air, Fire. Aristotle fifth element is aether - the material that fills the region of the universe above the terrestrial sphere where stars are located.

Inspired from "The Fifth Element".
I've been waiting to show this for almost two months now, I just didn't want to break the Batman series (and those instructions...). It's also true that I've been waiting for missing parts for my feeble attempt to create a decent building. Lego architecture is definitely out of my league but it just seemed stupid to show the cars out of context.
I wish I could show some larger resolution picture(s), unfortunately my camera's lenses just don't wanna help on this one. Hopefully I'll make up for it with some nice individual shots of the cars in the following days.
Enjoy!

Just a bit of fun with a picture of my taxi and GIMP. I obviously don't own the copyright to the background picture, but have no idea who does.

As part of my ongoing movie and TV vehicles project, lately I've been looking at flying vehicles. Korben Dallas' flying taxi, from The Fifth Element, seemed like an obvious option.

I intended to represent a mermaid attracting several persons with her love (please see some closer details below)...
Made for "Art Official Concept", an art gallery based in Cape Verde (Western Africa).
See the whole Pencil Vs Camera Album.
More facts: The Republic of Cape Verde is an island country, spanning an archipelago of 10 volcanic islands located in the central Atlantic Ocean, 570 kilometres off the coast of Western Africa. The islands, covering a combined area of slightly over 4,000 square kilometres. The previously uninhabited islands were discovered and colonized by the Portuguese in the 15th Century, and became an important location in the Atlantic slave trade due to their geographically advantageous position. The islands' prosperity often attracted pirates including Sir Francis Drake, who twice sacked the (then) capital Ribeira Grande, in the 1580s. The islands were also visited by Charles Darwin's expedition in 1832.
Cape Verde has a rich cultural heritage influenced by continents like Africa, South America and Europe. This heritage is reflected in the country's literature, poetry, cuisine, its dance and its famous national song, the Morna, represented worldwide by the famous CesĂ¡ria Évora.
>>> Review from THE DAILY MAIL for this picture: "Mixed Reality: This incredible sketch has captures the boats on the water sitting alongside a mermaid on a rock. A carefully-cut hole in the paper even makes room for the diver as he prepares to launch himself overboard" (Kerry McQueeney, The Daily Mail, Sept. 2011)
Update: See THIS VIDEO showing some 18 Pencil Vs Camera images in progress (with a small animation and an original musical composition)

This image is part of a continuing series following the unrest and events in Minneapolis following the May 25th, 2020 murder of George Floyd.
"We have twelve swimming pools, and two on the rooftop. All the restaurants are between level two and level ten. The planet Fhloston has 400 beaches, all accessible until 5 PM. Then, the airship goes higher, to offer you a better view with your dinner."
My latest creation comes from a scene in the movie The Fifth Element. Korben Dallas has just exited the opera house into a small war zone.
I've had the idea to do this scene for almost two years now, ever since the Alien Conquest sets came out and a friend pointed out how much the troopers looked like Mangalores from the film. I finally started working on it a few months ago, and now I present the finished scene.
Chicago area fans: See the full scene this weekend at the NILTC Christmas Train Show at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL!

I present to you: Mr. kim's flying restaurant boat from one of my favorite movies: The Fifth Element with Bruce Willes and milla jovovich.
During the movie's chase scene, the taxi is riddled with bullets. Fortunately I had a few old Exo-Force sticker sheets lying around.
The shirt needs improvement. But short of getting a custom one made, this will do for the time being.
The taxi has a slightly used-future look, which I tried to recreate using a few strategically placed tan plates among the yellow and replacing some of the white checkers, as well as some old grey mixed in with the new grey in the lower part of the body.
Halloween 2016: Leeloo Dallas Multipass! It’s amazing what you can do with an orange yoga mat and a recycled Death Becomes Her wig.
