As best as I can figure, fifteen White-breasted Woodswallows are sharing this section of a branch in Sandy Camp Road Wetland Reserve. I say "this section" because I had to crop out the left side of the branch with the next half dozen birds which occupied it! Flocks of more than 100 commonly congregate, especially when roosting at night.
We only had sunshine for about fifteen minutes or so on December 26. The right fifteen minutes it turned out and that is all that matters.
This week was full of pleasure and good weather. Coincidence? Anyway, I spent as much time outside as possbile and I found this bright green spot.

Valloria, the village of painted doors.
A village where every year painters of international fame and young artists find themselves to paint the doors of stalls, stores and wine cellars creating real works of art in the open air.
The village is about fifteen kilometres from Imperia.
A minuscule village with 42 inhabitants and about 150 painted doors that contrast with the grey of the stone and animate the whole medieval village.

As some of you may know, I am crazy about tennis. And this year, I will be able to see a live match at a grand slam! Just booked my tickets last week! I'm so excited :D

The multiple facets of Second Life have always fascinated and passionated me and I’m still amazed by the will for diversity and creativity in the pixels incarnation.
The idea that each avatar is the projection of a real person somewhere on this planet is dizzying… That these avatars can communicate in real time using their own appearance, coming directly from their imagination, culture, personality, desires is fantastically rich.
It is true that we encounter here Narcissus syndrome, but still something else that ego is at work here, I think.
Are we not just looking for our secret self, this being hidden in each of us and who accompanies us all along our lives, do not we give to him through our avatar the opportunity to express its relevance or his impertinence?
I would like to show the meeting with this entity humano / Virtual ... find the spark of life, the detail, the feature that brings life to the inert, and witness this phenomenon by deploying a series of portraits ..
If anyone recognizes his avatar and doesn’t want to appear in this serie, I will remove the photo, if someone wants to add his name I will add it :)

I received an invite from Getty Images yesterday and I'm not sure how to respond. Please let me know if you've received one of these requests, and if so how did you respond? Do you keep ownership of your images? Did you get paid? It sounds cool, but I'm naive about these things and don't want to get taken advantage of. Thanks!

The Nottingham NET Tram system operates fifteen Bombardier five segment articulated Incentro trams built at Derby in 2002/03 and twenty two Alstom Citadis 302 five segment articulated trams built in 2013/14 for the Phase 2 system expansion. The first of the Alstom Citidas trams 216 descends Waverley Street past the Arboretum Park and crosses the junction with Peel Street on the approach to Nottingham City Centre, 17th June 2016. To the right about 100 yards along Peel Street is what use to be Nottingham’s Women’s Hospital and it is there that I was born sixty years ago. The hospital closed in 1981 and the main building has been converted to flats and is called Charleston House. Also on the site is a new Public House aptly called “The Gooseberry Bush”

This personal piece is much more creepy and surreal than most of my other conceptual work but I feel it well represents the past week I've had.
This was challenging but fun to shoot, in my backyard on Friday afternoon. I am also working on a speed edit video of the post processing that went into this- definitely one of the more complicated edits I have done so far in this project. I will hopefully release the video by tomorrow.
Inspired largely by this photo and this photo by two of my favourite conceptual artists.
HAPPY EASTER.
