I first caught an AT&SF intermodal train with GP60M 121 leading at Cleghorn Road in the lower part of the Pass where it met a UP train lead by 9116. The date was October 19, 1992. Note, all four of the head-end units were 2-year old GP60Ms.
I then moved to a location I knew to shoot the train as it passed by me in good light. The hill I moved to is now known to railfans as Hill 582.
This is the 3rd of an 8 photograph series of this train.
Showara is the most important Tannery of Fes, it’s divided in 2 areas, the white tanks area used for cleaning of rough leather by ammonia and the coloured tanks area used to the 4-days process of leather painting. From Monday to Saturday people work inside the tanks (I shoot these pictures on Thursday)
Santa Fe 100 is eastbound over Starrucca Viaduct in Lanesboro Pa. on 07-19-1974. I would venture to say that SD45 803 plied the rails of D&H's Penn Division below when it wore its D&H dress. The guy in GP35 2586 has to be enjoying the ride through this country scenery. Howard Kent Jr.
When SMS Rail Lines crews are not using Baldwins to service customers in the Pureland Industrial Complex, this former Santa Fe B23-7 is often seen getting the job done. While it's always nice to see Baldwins at work in the 21st century, this is also something you don't see every day in 2019. 4211 is seen shoving a heavy cut of tank cars and it sounded great doing so.

Former Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe, hereafter ATSF/Santa Fe 692, heads across the Fox river near Sheridan, IL. This used to be old Burlington Northern tracks, and a Santa Fe engine would never see the light of day on this line. Now owned by the Illinois Railway, they use BNSF motive power to interchange with them at Eola, and bring cars to and from a sand plant at Wedron, IL. And, it just so happened they grabbed this power set from the BNSF! This job is heading east on the old BN, with 22 cars of sand ready to be interchanged.
Santa Fe C30-7 #8113 leads a mix of Santa Fe and Burlington Northern power on a Houston bound coal load. It was photographed at the West end of Brush, CO in June of 1984.
Santa Fe westbound #15 "Texas Chief" (Chicago-Houston) departs behind F7, F7b, F7, F7b (335....) Two months before Amtrak's takeover, Santa Fe still had a decent train to contribute to the fleet.
