FX 910 from MEM
The day after the crash. FX 910 from MEM suffered a left-hand gear collapse after touching down on runway 10L. The left wing and engine contacted the runway and burst into flames as the aircraft veered off the runway. Fortunately, the 2 crew members on board managed to escape without injuries. The NTSB attributed the gear collapse to metal fatigue and cited FedEx's failure to overhaul the gear according to the manufacturer-recommended intervals.
