Federal Express (FedEx) McDonnell Douglas MD-11F N628FE is on short final for runway 25L.
c/n 48447 was built in May 1991 and was delivered to Swissair as HB-IWE on 14.06.91. The airline was renamed to Swiss International Air Lines on 31.03.02. The jet was transferred to FedEx on 04.01.05 and converted to a freighter until 01.07.05.
This is c/n 48447. c/n 48448 (HB-IWF) was the Swissair jet that was lost at Peggy´s Cove near Nova Scotia in September 1998.
