He is just too cute as his Father is showing him how to play in the water. Now I just imagine when Mommy comes out of the store who will she fuss at !
I have never dedicated an image to my late father, so this one is for you dad. :) For those who don't know it, my father was a well known artist in the Colorado Springs Colorado area for many years. If he were alive today, he would have painted a scene such as this one. I thought of him while capturing this backdoor scene. :)
Attention, all Fathers of teenage daughters! If a nice young man shows up to your door in this seemingly innocent looking sedan and asks if your daughter is ready to go to the drive in, shut the door in his face!
That innocent looking Nash Ambassador has front and rear seats that fold down to form a bed! The model came with an authentic looking owner's manual that revealed the secret bed in the cabin.
The Nash may look harmless but don't be fooled. Send that young man packing!

I would have posted a fathers day photo today but they were all vetoed by the family. Instead you get flowers from my front path.

Yesterday I attended the funeral service for a precious cousin on the Hennesey side of my family in Cuero, TX. It was bittersweet... he was a wonderful beloved funny & fun person with a magnetic personality with a precious loving family. He will be so missed as he was to his family what Larry was to ours, the patriarch of the family. A husband for over 50 years, a respected father, a precious grandfather... great-grandfather, an amazing uncle, brother, cousin and a admired friend and neighbor!!! It was reflective for me in that 3 months to the day we had my beloved Larry's Homegoing Celebration... so glad that I could be there to support my extended family and in doing so God comforted me through their love and kindness & reflecting on two lives that were fully lived & completely loved!!! Thanking God today & everyday for the blessing of family!!!

When a father gives to his son, both laugh; when a son gives to his father, both cry.

I can't say much about this pic. More than perfection, this image carries affection. It might not be a best shot but a beautiful shot.
Great Fathers day here with friends bringing up Dave's Dad, Ken at the age of 94 and we all pigged out on ribs, salads and pies.
This father and son were fishing together. Although it looks like the father was doing the fishing in the photo, he was temporarily helping the boy out. I thought it was a nice moment to capture and good for HSS. I had two versions, and I didn't know which I liked, so I smooshed them together. That's the technical word btw -- smooshed.
