Fashion Week, Shanghai, China, Oct 19, 2014

BOX DATE: None

APPROXIMATE RELEASE DATE: 2010

MANUFACTURER: M.G.A.

IMPORTANT NOTES: This outfit is similar to (if not identical) 2008 Bratz Destiny's outfit. I don't own the jacket for Destiny, so I can't be sure.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Given the fact that this outfit was four years out of date when I got it in 2014, I'm lucky to have it at all! I hopped onto the Moxie Girlz bandwagon a bit later. They weren't in stores all that long after in fact. Fortunately, I planned ahead. I made a point to hoard any and all Moxie Girlz fashion packs I encountered. I believe I got this one and the one that looks like Pampered Petz Sasha's together. I found them in the clearance section at Walmart. I want to say they were less than $5 each...but it's been so long my memory is VERY hazy. I love that this is a replica of Bratz Destiny's original ensemble. I actually found her shoes in the "Bratz Guy Bin" of 2011. So despite not having Destiny herself, I am quite familiar with her. I do in fact have her matching sweatpants, and I believe they are shorter in length (Moxie Girlz are taller). I'd have to break them out of storage for comparison, but based on this photo alone these pants look way more stretched out in length. It's kind of odd that this fashion pack came with an open jacket sans shirt to go beneath it. Moxie Girlz are a little young to be rocking such a risky fashion choice...I certainly wouldn't allow my girls to wear this without a shirt!

M-IFW Islamic Fashion Show featuring Show B – Crafted Collections Showcase featuring “Floral & Polka Batik” by DATIN NOOR. Especially for this Islamic Fashion Festival, the designer, YBhg Datin Noor Fatimah has chosen Floral and Polka Batik as the theme. The collections will come in 6 different designs utilizing only color of chosen fabric which is chiffon silk and satin crepe silk. The designer selected the theme Floral and Polka Batik because the combination of two designs makes a very strong statement. When you combine these 2 designs together, you will have something which is universal, evergreen and can be use at any time by anyone.

Technical Notes: Couldn't quite light this how I wanted, due to low ceilings in the hire studio. The Way I'd been taught to light cars many years ago was by reflecting light onto them rather than pointing the light right at them to cut down on reflections. I was able to do this with the back light (hidden behind the car) and the two side lights, but the front one had to be direct, as I'd nothing big enough to bounce it off.

The backlight is a bowens 500 Monobloc, with a spil kill shooting into the back wall of the infinity cove. There are 2 side lights, both of which are strip lights being powered by a 5000joule Strobe pack, and the front light is a "Fish Fryer", powered by the same 5000J pack. Strobe in this instance is actually the brand name, rather than just the american name for a flash. They're an ancient, and I believe no longer made, form of light that are particularly popular with still-life and car photographers. They are vast, monolith things that run off stacks of oil-capacitors, and I've personally witnessed a pack blow someone across the room when they messed with it. They do give a lovely light though.

I've added 2 behind the scenes shots of the strobe packs to give some idea of what I'm talking about, though sadly I don't have any lighting setups available for this shot.
