This was a complex system. I’m not a programmer; rather a task/form-follow-function orientated developer understanding principles and adapting code or script as needed. Creating a non-hardware version of OLPC targeting vocational, institutional, collaborative learning mixed user literacy environments and other dynamic scenarios was challenging. Targeting digital immigrants with various computer literacy levels in traditional Chinese classrooms, where universities today don’t allow laptops was difficult. Without prior teacher blogs, online lesson plans, etc. . Intensive student orientation was a prerequisite, allowing group and individual video research projects to then be assigned. Within the EMS, project and assignment management with collaboration tools & metrics allowed large classes to receive individualized attention. Additionally, I online final exams were also integrated, with dynamic questions, destroying cheating opportunity. Despite international 2018 EMS adoption, I'm unaware of previous and few modern Chinese schools with such integration.
Hosting abroad under censorship, utilizing domestic api’s was difficult. China blocked my server twice causing midterm server relocation. Drupal 6, under high user load, combined with the local network infrastructure was not scalable. A larger server and team was required to optimize database calls and more. Beyond my individual capability. With a working example, I created promotional Kickstarter campaign videos.
Using Audacity and PowerPoint, 100s of hours were invested in promotional videos. I had to pause development to care for my wife who developed health issues. This entire experience, researching and developing a large scale project would have been difficult in the US. These accomplishments are comparable with Khan Academy's initial work involving 70 Californian students. By the time my wife's health improved, there were significant php/drupal developments. Having no opportunity to update the project, I have instead migrated toward an offline independent Linux based S.E.L.M.S.

It's not against the ToS to be petite and adult.
Here is what it says about it:

As you can see, women of all shapes and sizes are allowed in second life.
You can A.R. me as much as you want but it does nothing for you but make you look like the bad guy.
A lot of women, who play S.L. are around 5'0" to 5'3" some are 4'9" some are 4'6" yes I know it's hard for you to realize this but women, on average, is short. Granted, a lot of women like to be tall in second life, but that was due to several things and pressure.
But this also means you can be any height you are, irl, without having to worry about getting banned for being yourself, average height, like being petite, or wanting to be small.

One of the responses on the thread is that
There is one marriage in WA for that period.
WHURR, Walter H married CARRS, Annette G in 1930 at Katanning WA,
Registration number is 44.
There are no burials in the Perth Metropolitan Cemeteries.

Military Unit
2/28th Battalion
Western Australia’s 2/28th Infantry Battalion was raised in 1940, with the nucleus of the battalion coming together at Melville Camp, near Fremantle, on 17 July. The battalion was initially raised as part of the 24th Brigade of the 8th Division and was transferred to the newly formed 9th Division in December. In early January 1941 the 2/28th moved to Fremantle, where it joined a troopship convoy to the Middle East. The battalion arrived at Egypt at the end of the month. Disembarking at Port Tewfik in Suez, the battalion travelled by train to Palestine. Southern Palestine was being used as a base for the Australians where they could complete their training. The 2/28th went into camp at Khassa, north of Gaza.
By early 1941 the British advance in the Western Desert had reached El Agheila. In March the 9th Division was brought from Palestine to Libya to garrison the area east of Tobruk. The division did not have enough vehicles to bring all of its units forward towards Benghazi and the 24th Brigade (composed of the 2/28th, 2/43rd, and 2/32nd Battalions) remained in Tobruk.
This situation had quickly changed in April. The German Afrika Korps led the Axis counter-attack, pushing the British from El Agheila. The 9th Division withdrew to Tobruk and, with the 18th Brigade, defended the “fortress” for the next six months. The 2/28th participated in the usual pattern of defensive duties, manning parts of the Red Line, working on the Blue Line, and aggressively patrolling no man’s land. The Red Line was Tobruk’s outer line of defence and was a series of concrete pillboxes forming a semicircle around the town. The Blue Line was the second line of defence.
In September and October the majority of Australians were evacuated by sea. The 2/28th was evacuated on 23 September and sailed to Alexandria, from where it was transferred to the camp at Kilo 89 in Palestine. The brigade later moved to Syria and then Lebanon for rest, training, and garrison duties.
By July 1942 the war in North Africa had become critical for the British forces. The Germans and Italians had reached El Alamein in Egypt, about seventy miles from Alexandra. Consequently, the 9th Division was rushed to the Alamein “box” and held the northern sector for almost four months, as the British Eighth Army was reinforced for a new offensive.
The 2/28th reached the Alamein front on 10 July and the division attacked a week later. On 17 July the 2/32nd and 2/43rd moved inland, fighting along the ridgeline from Trig 22 and approaching Ruin Ridge. The 2/32nd led the attack, advancing from Trig 22 to the Qattara Track. The 2/43rd then followed towards Ruin Ridge.
Just after midnight on 27 July, the 2/28th attacked Ruin Ridge and by 1 am they were on the feature. But things were starting to go wrong: the Germans were attacking the Australians from rear positions; three company commanders were wounded; and many of the vehicles that should have brought forward ammunition were destroyed or damaged. Increasingly cut off, an attempt by British tanks to relieve the battalion was abandoned after 22 vehicles were “knocked out”. Shortly before 10 am enemy tanks began moving in on the Australians from three directions. A company was overrun and the battalion’s commander had little choice but to surrender. The Australians were rounded up and marched through the British artillery barrage, resulting in more casualties, as they moved behind the German lines.
The 2/28th suffered heavily at Ruin Ridge. Sixty-five officers and men from the battalion and its support units were killed or wounded; nearly 500 were captured and became prisoners of war. From those who participated in the attack, only 92 men remained. The 2/28th was withdrawn and rebuilt during the following weeks. It was back on the front line by September.
During the general Allied offensive from 23 October to 4 November the 24th Brigade was in reserve. Its task was to deceive the Axis forces by faking an attack. The 2/28th and 2/43rd raided enemy lines, while the 2/32nd directed a smokescreen and placed “dummy soldiers” in no man’s land. The 24th Brigade did not take part in the main fighting until the night of 31 October, when it relieved the 26th Brigade in the “Saucer”, where the heaviest fighting took place.
Alamein was a great, although bloody, success for the Allies and by 6 November enemy forces were retreating. But the 9th Division was needed elsewhere. The 2/28th left Alamein in December and went to Gaza in Palestine to participate in the 9th Division parade on 22 December. In January 1943 the battalion left Palestine for the Suez Canal, from where it was sailed back to Fremantle on 18 February.
Reorganised for jungle operations, the 2/28th participated in the 9th Division amphibious landing at Red Beach, north-west of Lae, in early September. Following the fall of Lae the 20th Brigade landed at Scarlet Beach, north of Finschhafen, on 22 September. It gradually moved to Scarlet Beach, the 2/28th arriving on 14 October. Days later the Japanese made a strong counter-attack against Scarlet Beach but the brigade was too strong and by the end of the month the main Japanese force withdrew to Sattelberg. But large numbers of enemy troops were still north of Scarlet Beach, near Pino Hill and Nongora. Moving inland, the 2/32nd captured Pino and then Pabu. The 2/28th followed the coast and captured Guiska. It then moved to Wareo, where it spent Christmas. The battalion returned to Australia at the end of January 1944.

The 2/28th Battalion received the following battle honours:
•Tell el Makh Khad, Sanyet el Miteirya, Qattara Track, Busu River, Siki Cove, Gusika, Labuan, Beaufort, Defence of Tobruk, Defence of Alamein Line, El Alamein, South-West Pacific 1943–45, Lae–Nadzab, Finschhafen, Defence of Scarlet Beach, Borneo, and North Africa 1941–42.

I’m guessing that if Basil was discharged as a result of his wounds, he may have been so disabled as to need life long care. There is at least one veterans hospital in Australia where such long term patients could be treated and as a consequence may have qualified him for this style of headstone. It makes you wonder if he wanted to see the county of his birth one last time before he passed away.

Hydraulic Fracturing FAQs
How does hydraulic fracturing work?
Hydraulic fracturing or fracking is a means of natural gas extraction employed in deep natural gas well drilling. Once a well is drilled, millions of gallons of water, sand and proprietary chemicals are injected, under high pressure, into a well. The pressure fractures the shale and props open fissures that enable natural gas to flow more freely out of the well.
What is horizontal hydraulic fracturing?
Horizontal hydrofracking is a means of tapping shale deposits containing natural gas that were previously inaccessible by conventional drilling. Vertical hydrofracking is used to extend the life of an existing well once its productivity starts to run out, sort of a last resort. Horizontal fracking differs in that it uses a mixture of 596 chemicals, many of them proprietary, and millions of gallons of water per frack. This water then becomes contaminated and must be cleaned and disposed of.
What is the Halliburton Loophole?
In 2005, the Bush/ Cheney Energy Bill exempted natural gas drilling from the Safe Drinking Water Act. It exempts companies from disclosing the chemicals used during hydraulic fracturing. Essentially, the provision took the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) off the job. It is now commonly referred to as the Halliburton Loophole.
What is the Safe Drinking Water Act?
In 1974, the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) was passed by Congress to ensure clean drinking water free from both natural and man-made contaminates.
What is the FRAC Act?
The FRAC Act (Fracturing Responsibility and Awareness to Chemical Act) is a House bill intended to repeal the Halliburton Loophole and to require the natural gas industry to disclose the chemicals they use.
How deep do natural gas wells go?
The average well is up to 8,000 feet deep. The depth of drinking water aquifers is about 1,000 feet. The problems typically stem from poor cement well casings that leak natural gas as well as fracking fluid into water wells.
How much water is used during the fracking process?
Generally 1-8 million gallons of water may be used to frack a well. A well may be fracked up to 18 times.
What fluids are used in the fracking process?
For each frack, 80-300 tons of chemicals may be used. Presently, the natural gas industry does not have to disclose the chemicals used, but scientists have identified volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene.
In what form does the natural gas come out of the well?
The gas comes up wet in produced water and has to be separated from the wastewater on the surface. Only 30-50% of the water is typically recovered from a well. This wastewater can be highly toxic.
What is done with the wastewater?
Evaporators evaporate off VOCs and condensate tanks steam off VOCs, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The wastewater is then trucked to water treatment facilities.
What is a well's potential to cause air pollution?
As the VOCs are evaporated and come into contact with diesel exhaust from trucks and generators at the well site, ground level ozone is produced. Ozone plumes can travel up to 250 miles.

DAF FAQ CF 430 with day cab.
The 1st, 2nd AND 4th have been sent.
The truck has a hook-lift system that can be set up on containers and one also has a loading crane. There is a 3-axle trailer behind it.
How long is the trail?
We didn't have unlimited time and we walk slow, so we only did about 280 km of the trail. Taken in Roncesvalles, Spain. The trail is vastly improved since I made my previous trip with Pat Brant in 2002. I think bicycle would be the way to go now. Especially in the long, flat middle stretches and some of the urban areas. Since we were walking we deliberately chose the more rural parts of the Camino.
Nikon F80 + Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 + Fuji Superia 400.
The FAQ pages on the main Eden website (see below for link...) describe the 'windows' or 'glass' of the Biomes as: constructed with; "...galvanised tubular steel, covered with a triple layer of ETFE (Ethylene TetrafluoroEthylene Co-Polymer) foil.
EFTE is a transparent, recyclable foil and should last for about 30 years. It is anti-static and therefore self cleaning. It is very strong, transparent to UV light and is not degraded by sunlight. The whole structure is guaranteed maintenance free for 25 years."
For more information on the Eden Project, have a look here, and if you ever get the opportunity to go, take it!
Power Bank FAQ
1) WHAT IS A POWER BANK?
A Power Bank serves as an âextra batteryâ or external charger for your phone or other electronic devices. It comes in handy in emergencies or whenever your USB device runs out of battery power.
2) HOW DO I CHARGE A POWER BANK?
The most common way you can charge your Power Bank is via your computers usb port.
3) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE THE POWER BANK?
Itâs depends on the capacity of the Power Bank. The larger the capacity (measured as aMh milliamp hours), the longer charging time required. Different charging methods may result in different charging time as well.
4) WHAT IS MAH?
mAh means milli Ampere Hour, the capacity of the power bank is measured in mAhâs! A low capacity Power Bank would be a 2000 mAh while currently, high capacity Power Banks range above 20,000 mAhâs. The Best bag for your buck is a Power Bank in the 5000- 7000 aMh range.
5) HOW MANY CHARGES ARE IN A POWER BANK?
Thatâs kind of like saying how many people can fit in a car?. A big car (Cadillac Escalade) can hold 10 small people (kids) and a small car (VW Beetle) can only hold 2 Very Large People. Each Power Bank has varying capacity (ie how many aMHâs) and each phone or device has a differing size of battery (ie a cell phone takes less Juice to power up than an I-Phone) However, a simple way to look at this is a 12000mAh Power Bank should be able to charge a 1500mAh capacity cell phone about 8 times.
6) WHATâS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN 18650 POWER BANK AND A LI-POLYMER POWER BANK?
An 18650 is a Samsung designation. This type of battery holds the charge longer, is more stable and more reliable than a Li-Polymer Power Bank. All of our Power Banks are 18650 unless specifically stated otherwise.
What Power Bank is suitable for you?
Milliamps often interchanged with Milliamp Hours, or mAh, is used to describe the amount of charge a battery will hold.
Amp Output , abbreviated as "A", determines how fast your powerbank will charge. For example, a powerbank with .5A output will charge your mobile device slower than one with 1A output. Some larger devices such as a tablet can only be practically charged with a powerbank with a 1A output.
2200mAh - Standard powerbank capacity. A powerbank with a 2200mAh capacity will comfortably charge a standard mobile phone. Smartphones and tablets won't be fully charged.
2600mAh - Standard powerbank capacity. A powerbank with a 2600mAh capacity will fully charge most new phones, such as the Samsung and iPhone5 mobile devices. They will comfortably charge tablets, albeit not to capacity.
4400mAh + - Plus sized powerbank capacity. A powerbank with a 4400mAh capacity willl have enough power to charge most tablets. Powerbanks rated at 4400mAh will typically be larger in size, due to additional battery cells.
8800mAh + - Plus sized powerbank capacity. A powerbank with a 8800mAh capacity willl have enough power to simultaneously charge two mobile devices. Powerbanks rated at 4400mAh will typically be larger in size, due to additional battery cells. These powerbanks will also come standard with a 1A output.
Decoration
On all of our Power Banks we can silk screen-print your companyâs logo in up to 3 colors. On some of our style we can also laser engrave your logo as the casing for that particular style is metal. Check each style to insure which can be done.
To have us logo your Power Banks simply send us your logo in an AI (Adobe Illustrator) or EPS file. Also a vectorized (editable) PDF will also work.
Simply send us your logo to John@PromoCrunch.com
Once we have your logo and order we will send you a virtual proof for your approval. Once the approval is done it takes about 7-10 days for delivery of your Power Banks to your location.
Pantone
Send us your design or logo with spot colors and ensure that your company colors are represented accurately. USB Promos will match Pantone colors, as well as Trumatch or other CMYK premixed inks. All monitors are not created (or calibrated) equally, but your spot color will be reproduced per your color matching system, so there are no surprises.
Use our Pantone color chart for reference. For accuracy, please consult your Pantone color guides. Because of differences in monitor color rendering, We cannot guarantee that our color chart will exactly match the Pantone colors in your design. Please note that Pantone colors are generally matched to a white background casing or substrate color. If you are printing on a background other than white, please inform your sales rep that this is the case, because some adjustments might need to be made. Also, make sure that all vector art supplied has knockouts for different layers in the screens, as to avoid overlapping screened colours as this can affect color appearance as well
Decoration Options
Screen Print/Pad Print:
Screen printing, previously known as silk-screening is a printing technique that traditionally creates a sharp-edged image using a stencil and a porous fabric. The screen is made from porous finely woven fabric held over a frame. Areas of the screen are obscured with a non-permeable stencil which is a positive of the image to be printed (the remaining open areas are where the ink will appear). When printing multi-color logos, a new stencil is made for each color and the different colors printed sequentially. Screen printing is most suitable for logos with 1-4 colors that have no shading or color gradation.
CMYK Full Color Photo Print:
Photo printing is similar to standard desktop printing in that logos can be reproduced in full color by combining 4 colors known as CMYK in varying amounts. Photo printing is the best choice for logos with many colors or those with shading or gradation.
Laser Etch:
This permanent marking process involves using a fiber or CO2 laser to etch your design on the surface of the USB drive. This process exposes the underlying substrate of the material if it is painted or anodized, or if it is a raw material, vaporizes a thin layer of the substrate to make a different color. It is necessary to use vector art for this process, as we cannot laser etch any gradients, halftones or colors. Keep in mind that the underlying substrate of painted drives might be brass, zinc, aluminum, steel, or plastic. These different substrates each have a unique color and will be exposed when etching painted drives. If laser etching a wooden drive, the laser will burn the wood a darker color as the temperature of the laser site exceeds the flash point of the wood.
Hot Stamp:
Hot stamping is a debossing process that is used to imprint leather or wood drives. First, a positive die is machined from your vector artwork. This die is then heated and pressed into the surface of the drive. The artwork is then permanently reliefed into the surface of the drive. This process has a fair amount of dimension in it, so small details might not be accurately transferred to the surface of the drive. As with laser etching, the hot stamping process will burn the wood or leather a darker color as the temperature of the die exceeds the flash point of the material.
Extruded Detail on PVC:
When creating a custom PVC drive, all details are extruded off of the surface of the drive. These details can be the same color as the base color of the drive, or poured as a different color. These details are hand applied, so there may be slight variation between two drives of the same batch. Some restrictions to keep in mind- details cannot be extruded taller than they are thick, details cannot be less than 0.25mm wide, and details cannot be less than 0.25mm apart. This is due to the machining limitations in creating the mould. Also, due to the hand made nature of these drives, we can only produce a custom PVC drive with 7 colors or less.
Epoxy Dome:
This applique features a digital full color print underneath an epoxy domed coating. First a die is created to the shape of your artwork, which is then used to cut a vinyl full color print to shape. A optically transparent epoxy is poured over the decal and allowed to harden, protecting the artwork from scratches or scuffs. This type of decal is only suitable for application to flat surfaces.
Vinyl Decal:
This applique is perfect for simulating a printed label on PVC USB drives. Your full color art is printed directly onto a vinyl sticker and die cut to size. As this label is made from flexible vinyl, it is possible to wrap it around cylindrical shapes.
Shipping
We ship directly from our factory in China to you. We ship UPS or FedEx direct. Shipping is extra and is quoted separately on each order.
Pricing Policy
Our minimum order for Power Banks is 100 units. We do not sell single units. We work on a small margin so we quote the price of the Power Bank and decoration in the following ways, 100-249 units, 250-499 units and 500 plus QUR. QUR or Quote upon request simply means that on all orders of 500 or more units we like to work directly with our clients and the factory to achieve the best possible price to meet their needs and as such each order is quoted individually.
We accept MC/Visa and company check. We can also arrange interbank transfers. Canadian orders are more than welcome and the only price difference is the rate of exchange on the day of order confirmation
