It's been a pretty hot Fall thus far in Southern California. However, when I woke up this morning for Saturday soccer, today was different. It was the first cool, crisp morning of the season and it felt really nice. We don't get the changes of the seasons the way most of the country does, but there are subtle things that happen that I really enjoy. Given that I'll be enjoying average daily temperatures of around 72 degrees for the next 4 months or so, I'll take these small orange flowers blooming as my version of "Fall Colors", and leave the more significant "change" for those bracing for a winter of ice and snow.

Shot this during a walk back in October. I got caught in a downpour and took shelter under a bridge.
