We all went crazy for this girl when she was released but like so many dolls, once the fever subsides, she is a little forgotten. I am guilty too. I have hardly photographed her since she arrived here. To be fair there are many dolls in my collection who don't get enough attention. I plan to do something about that maybe in the new year. I feel like it's time for some of my dolls to go to pastures new... Not Violaine, though, she's staying!
Don't you just love Fall/Autumn fashion? I have been thinking about what my 'models' might wear in their 'Off Duty' moments so this is how I imagine Violaine.
Violiane wears
Karma Kyori bodysuit and boots
Rayna Mad Love long stockings
Refinement Vanessa Coat
Nadja London Show handbag
Barbie My Scene skirt
Bubble tea from AliExpress

I turned 40 last week and I celebrated with a splash of color! 🌈
Being a December kid always meant that it would be cold and/or rainy, grey or windy on my birthday. I’ve always fantasized about having a picnic birthday in the park, or even celebrate on the beach. Since I can’t go to Acapulco on that special day, I decided to bring sunshine to me by wearing a different color for a whole week 😊
I had to ask for contributions since I don’t own every piece of outfit in every color (as colorful as my wardrobe is).
Day 2: orange with a splash of color! 🌈

Day 1: yellow. Probably the color that I wear the least. Still, it was fun putting this outfit together!
blazer + shoes: borrowed
skirt: thrifted (Salvation Army)
socks + scarf: thrifted
hat: found
leggings: bought years ago

A Murmur in the Trees — to note —
Not loud enough — for Wind —
A Star — not far enough to seek —
Nor near enough — to find —
A long — long Yellow — on the Lawn —
A Hubbub — as of feet —
Not audible — as Ours — to Us —
But dapperer — More Sweet —
A Hurrying Home of Little Men
To Houses unperceived —
All this — and more — if I should tell —
Would never be believed — Emily Dickinson
I remember sitting in class one day… it was October 1997, and suddenly, it dawned on me that October is the most beautiful and romantic month of the year! Every year before October comes, I always think that that feeling has gone away, but then I get dressed for fall and go outside, and there it is, that teenage infatuation waiting for me just outside the door of October first!
