Melodrama came to life in the Chiles Theater of the Rhodes Arts Center, with four performances of the Broadway musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood by the NMH Performing Arts Department, November 9-11, 2017. Song and dance revelry, double entendre-laden humor and an audience chosen ending were enhanced by a magnificent set, brilliant costuming and lighting, wonderful student acting and expertly performed music, for director Jared Eberlein's first production for NMH. Sophomores, returning and new, were oriented to each other and to the new academic, athletic and residential year with a variety of community building activities including friction fire making, Ultimate Game challenges, Team Development Course activities and an Eco Photo Quest on Saturday, September 2, 2017.
