The Heritage Flight: F-86F Sabrejet "Jolley Roger", piloted by Steve Hinton, F-35A Lightning II, piloted by Maj Will "D-Rail" Andreotta, and the F-22A Raptor, piloted by Maj Daniel “FFits” Dickinson, at the 2016 "Aviation Nation" Open House and Air Show held at Nellis AFB, November 12-13, 2016.
This incredible custom truck is actually a cut-down Volvo F86 eight-wheeler with Bedford TL cab and specially-built bonnet. Most probably created as a show truck rather than a working vehicle, it would be a good fit in EM Roger’s fleet of heritage trucks. The base image was taken at Chester-le-Street on the 2013 HCVS Tyne-Tees Run (04-Jul-21).

A trio of F86 Sabre's sit at the EoR ready to take flight at Nellis AFB.
The jets were flown by The Horsemen (www.horsemenflight.com) aerobatic flight team, which normally flies a 3-ship of P51 Mustangs.
This is the second livery that I’ve featured on this hybrid Volvo F86 that has been rebuilt to normal control layout with a Bedford TL cab. Geoff Dodds Transport of Thirsk is well-known on the North East rally scene with a superbly-presented selection of classic trucks, which includes several Volvos of a more conventional nature. I am unaware of the ownership of this particular truck and this photoshopped image is presented with no wish to offend either party (12-Jun-22).

The F-86 Sabre served as a front-line jet fighter during the early Cold War. Designed for air superiority, it combined swept-wing aerodynamics with excellent handling, making it highly effective in dogfights and high-speed interception. Its most famous service was in the Korean War, where it proved a strong match for the MiG-15 and helped define modern jet-age fighter tactics.
