A snowy scene, with the trucks being serviced and the 'free' car park just beyond. The orange truck to the right is a Volvo F86, the white one an F88 and some years later I'd learn to drive an HGV in one. Another of my slides from the past!
From a slide I took in September 1978, a Volvo F10 awaits collection after an early service, having been delivered new some 6 weeks earlier.

Privately owned former USAF F-86 Sabre (FU-222/ 25222), flown by the legendary Dale "Snort" Snodgrass, performing a flypast along the crowd line during a superb display at Oceana 2005. Tragically, this aircraft was subsequently lost in a crash claiming the life of Wyatt Fuller, its owner.
Arguably the very best aviation related photo I have ever shot!

There are dozens of Canadian ex military aircraft on display in various venues. This one, in a local park, is an F86 Sabre Jet, was produced from 1950-1958. Its primary users were the Royal Canadian Air Force, United States Air Force, Royal Air Force and the German Air Force.
This F-86 jet is painted in the metallic gold and red colours of the RCAF “Golden Hawks” aerobatics flying team. The “Golden Hawks” were a Canadian military aerobatic flying team established in 1959 to celebrate the R.C.A.F.’s 35th anniversary and the “Golden” 50th anniversary of Canadian flight. The initial six-plane team flew Mk V aircraft, later the Mk VI, and the team was very popular, doing many shows a year across North America. The Golden Hawks were the predecessors of the modern-day Canadian Forces “Snowbirds” aerobatics flying team. The Golden Hawks team continued in operation until February 1964.
