Grumman's F4F Wildcat design built by Goodyear as an FM2 Wildcat and painted as a Royal Navy Grumman Martlet V. Confused? You will be.... US Navy WWII nomenclature redesignated aircraft if built by different contractors (unlike the British system where any sub-contracted builds remained designated by the design authority's name/type number/mark). Best plan is to call it a Grumman Wildcat. The Fighter Collection provided this one to Shuttleworth's Fly Navy II airshow at Old Warden.
