I was having a fit when I saw the sphinx. It was sooo hot that day-and people were all around me. Bloody tourist trap.

Meet F13. This mature American Bald Eagle photo was taken by me on the Cannonsville Reservoir in Deposit NY on 09/28/14. This bird happened to get close enough to get both the NYS (the blue band) and Federal Band (the silver band) numbers which led to the following information from the NYS DEC: The bird was born in captivity at a zoo in Salisbury MD. Wildlife
Biologist Peter Nye banded it on June 2, 1997 when at 4.5 weeks old it was placed in a Pepacton Reservoir nest that had another eaglet of a similar age and to a wild pair of mated Eagles! Pete called it a male. So it's a foster baby! I guess it decided to
nest close to home. ~Michele Morningstar
