This is You. She definitely has developed an extrovert personality.

Thank you for stopping by. Wishing everyone a great week.

This is #3 of my photos for the Scavenger Hunt, and I am really enjoying the challenge so far. Even Mr. Cactus showed me a bit of a grin today. I think he just likes the attention ; )

A year ago I used to be 62% Extrovert.

How have times changed me or is it due to the pandemic? I have become more introverted than before. Somehow I treasure my alone time more than I used to.

I still consider myself an outgoing person but now I only focus on spending time with those closest to me.

I guess I'm socially selective now

This is Liam "Leemy" Irving Lester, our adorable brown tiger. Liam is a classic tabby, an American Shorthair. We adopted Leemy six years ago from a "kill" shelter. He is warm, friendly, extroverted, vocal, and absolutely nuts about laser pointers, reflected light spots, and dancing shadows. When we first got Phoebe as a kitten, it was Leemy who adopted her and taught her how to be a cat. She followed him everywhere and insisted on sleeping wherever he sleeps!

Hey, I'm talking about the flower, okay? Why are you looking at me like that?

"Lika moved a little closer as she got back from getting herself a beer, after long minutes of internal debate. She leaned closer to us and asked if we were having fun, the soft spoken friend was desperately trying to talk as loud as she could over the deafening music.

Lya, who was in my arms, turned questioning eyes to me, very much amused by the situation. Being the most extroverted of us three, she knew how in pain we both were at that point. I sighed and lowered my eyes before looking back at Lika and shrugging, making them both burst out in laughter.

Without another minute of hesitation, Lya smiled dazzlingly in our direction and moved swiftly through the crowd, leaving us wondering what she was up to. A few seconds later she was back with 3 bottles of champagne, 3 glasses and Lika's handbag under her arm. She winked at us and made a swift move with her head to indicate the bathroom door. Brows furrowed, I let Lika step ahead first and then followed.

Once inside, Lya locked the door behind us while resting her back against it and said with a sigh :

"- My dear introverts, now is the time for us to REALLY have a party the way we like it !"

That's how the bathroom turned into our very own private nightclub until the early morning, just the way we've always loved it."

Thank you Lika for joining us in this very improvised adventure, so happy we finally got a picture of us three together ! Thank you my Love for your bright ideas, always ♥

The fabulous 1933 Auburn 12-865 Salon Boat-tailed Speedster. Hot Rod and Sports car supreme right off the shelf. One of reportedly 14 examples, designed by Alan Leamy in a particularly nice color combo!

In the Late 20s, an impressive open two-seater body was styled by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky featuring a boat-tail and a vee windscreen, and set the stage for later modifications.

1932 when the 12-cylinder Auburn became available, its price of $975.00 for the 12-160A model was remarkable. The V-12 cost was less than an ordinary eight cylinder medium range Chrysler product. Would customers believe that inaccurate old saw “you get what you pay for”? Well, something happened because as the company was introducing this reliable and high performing V12, the company lost almost a million dollars. The Auburn 12 offered more than a powerful V12 engine. It had a high cruising speed with a Dual Ratio rear end which, upon command from a dash-mounted lever, would offer either a 4.5 or 3.0 ratio for each of the transmission’s three gears. This reduced strain on the engine and lowered fuel consumption, despite its 6.5 liters and 160 horsepower.

When discussing both a V-12 luxury car, a beautiful landmark design, and a speed record-breaking sports car, it is almost inappropriate to mention selling price. But in fact, in 1932 when the 12-cylinder Auburn became available, its price of $975.00 for the 12-160A model was remarkable. Creamy white petals with apricot and coral streaks. Hippeastrums are extroverts; their large, eye catching flowers open on tall, straight stems and yell look at me! Up to four flowers open on each stem.

The Golden-cheeked Warbler requires old juniper woodlands and live-oak habitat for nesting. This habitat occurs in central south Texas. In fact, this bird nests exclusively in the Lone Star State although vagrant birds have shown up in other states.

GCW numbers are declining because of habitat loss due to clearing of juniper and oak forests for grazing and human encroachment.

Solution: build more high rises and stack people in urban areas since a majority of people claim to be extroverted and enjoy one another's company.

Since the photograph I posted of Ginger yesterday proved to be popular, I thought I would show you how beautiful this little girl really is.

For those of you who did not read her story yesterday (buried in the comments), Ginger is an interesting girl. We believe her to be an Egyptian Mau. She was found by an American Airman in Northern Italy as he was walking his dog. Somebody had put Ginger in a box and her kittens in another and taped them up and left them in the hot sun in a remote field. Ginger had clawed her way out of her box and was trying to get her kittens free. Luckily, the American man and his dog found them and took them to a shelter. My wife adopted them - yes, all of them - while she was living there. She found good homes for the kittens and kept Ginger.

Ginger is no extrovert, and she is not terribly fond of cats, but she adores her mama and me. She is also notoriously difficult to photograph well because she immediately turns away when she sees the camera. This photo took some work!

Solitude is necessary for any person, even an extrovert. Only in solitude is a person able to develop, analyze, create. This is an opportunity to replenish your mental resources and put everything in order.

Усамітнення необхідне будь-якій людині, навіть екстраверту. Тільки на самоті людина здатна розвиватися, аналізувати, творити. Це можливість заповнити свої душевні ресурси та розкласти все по поличках.

Introverts & Extroverts Scavenger Hunt

The great late afternoon light lasted for a considerable period while this camera extrovert of an owl was very successful in catching voles with aplomb.

Hedgehogs arent known for their sociable extrovert side. In fact, this young man just wanted to hug a damp tree! The ground was very soggy and wet and he seemed to like this.

Hedgehogs have been decimated in the UK in the last 10 years. So much so, that In 2020, hedgehogs were put on the IUCN Red List as vulnerable to extinction in Great Britain.

Why? Many are killed on roads, but gardeners tend to use snail pellets. Hedgehogs are partial to snails and slugs so they ingest the poison too and this kills them. They are often injured/killed with strimmers/mowers, unchecked bonfires (they burrow into the wood and leaves to keep warm), drowning in garden ponds and even being fed inappropriate things, such as bread and milk, mealworms and peanuts.

This is so so sad. If it weren't for rescues such as BWC, I guess I wouldnt see a hedgehog at all. Photographed at British wildlife centre.

Orange is the colour between red and yellow on the spectrum of light, and in the traditional colour wheel used by painters.

Its name is derived from the fruit orange.

In Europe and America, orange is commonly associated with amusement, the unconventional, extroverts, fire, activity, danger, taste and aroma, the autumn season.

In Asia, it is an important symbolic colour of Buddhism and Hinduism, where it is of course the colour of saffron.

I love these warm hues, it is truly Autumnal and seasonal…

In 1883, Sitting Bull was a guest of honor at the opening ceremonies for the Northern Pacific Railroad. When it was his turn to speak, he said in the Lakota language, “I hate all white people. You are thieves and liars. You have taken away our land and made us outcasts.” A quick-thinking interpreter told the crowd the chief was happy to be there and that he looked forward to peace and prosperity with the white people. Sitting Bull received a standing ovation.

Introverts & Extroverts Scavenger Hunt

I am not easy to figure out…

i am a simple yet complicated soul,

balanced but moody…

i can be quiet and retreat into my own abyss or i can be a little chatterbox being silly…

shy but outgoing...

an introverted extrovert perhaps…

I ruminate or don’t think of it, whatever it is, at all…

but i am who i am and i make no excuses for myself…

I can't be with anyone that wants to pick which “me” they care to spend time with

because like a box of cracker jacks, you never know whats inside…

Outwardly my appearance is what it is….

the life i have lived shows my trials and tribulations….

i make mistakes,

i have become jaded and somewhat guarded,

i am on a journey of a lifetime,

i chose independence and a life of free will to finally find out just who i am

without being what was expected of me to be or to do….

and i wouldn’t change my decision for the world….

is it easy, oh hell but hell no….

i have fu*ked up so many times but i have gotten it right so many times as well…

nothing important enough worth having/wanting is ever easy

but it builds confidence, not settling or being complacent ...

its a new lesson every day,

and as i take baby steps along the path i am on,

i do so knowing that life is to be lived,

not waiting on a shelf wondering when will it be my turn to be the butterfly

that finally leaves its cocoon,

the girl with the gypsy soul….

take me as i am for that is all that i know how to be…

nor would i care to be anyone else...

the best things in life are free ...to figure it all out...
