The photoshop extract filter allows you to select an object with some wispy edges on it like hair. Use a smaller brush for straighter areas and a larger brush for wispy areas.
4 pounds of activated carbon per layer. But here we discovered a minor design flaw where we made the trays match the filter size, but didn't account for the extra 3/8" from the stapled & taped mesh on the edges. Had to do some tricky carpentry to make the front face fit!

I love the melody and rhythm of his words and am sad that few people today have such skills. Birmingham is my home city and I am proud of its heritage as well as its modern-day face.
I was saddened today to visit the Jewellery Quarter in search of a birthday gift, to find it looking tired, worn and in need of some repair. I didn’t get the gift I was looking for, however, I did get an opportunity to photograph the sculpture outside the station there, which pays homage to the industries that made Birmingham the city it is.
This is a 4" deep 3M filter. We left enough space that we could make an "inverted-V" tent from two of them together to increase the surface area. Tests showed there was little difference, so we've stayed with the single filter.
In the search for a better musical experience extracting better sound from my recent iFi DAC upgrade and get more pleasure in the sound presentation I discovered SOTM products, I searched for information of network streamers and similar user opinions about them, saw videos and all that I can find about on the web, and after reading lots of average consensus of users in their with their experience, and after some weeks acquired an SOTM sMS-200 Ultra without listening.
I have to admit that acquiring without listening is risky decision, and sometimes you could end with a unit that do not give any positive enhancement to your system. The intent was to remove my noisy Mac Pro from degrading the sound of the DAC, is this case an iFi iDSD Pro that has galvanic isolation but is very sensible to all cables and accessories before it, as any other DAC the quality of the USB connection is primordial to a better sound experience.
You can clean your computer USB, but you will pay the same or more than buy a optimised and clean dedicated computer exclusively for audio.
It’s that quality USB connection I was searching and found it on the SOTM sMS-200 Ultra, it impressive how a single device for giving you a great USB link affects the final sound.
Computers are terribly noisy devices, electricity in an apartment is full of noise, that contaminates the computer, processor, motherboard, fan, hard drive, external devices with bad power supply’s, even software resource needs generate noise, and that noise affects the link that is made from the computer to the DAC.
Any user like me trying to get better audio will start a journey of cleaning that USB transmission with galvanic isolated solutions, USB regenerators and re-clockers, and many other solutions that exist on the market and stores that clean the USB signal. Some of devices at every step give you an extra more, or a different presentation, or change the total presentation, sometimes in a good way, other times not accomplishing what they promote or I expect for the price
What did SOtM do, they produced a small audio optimised network computer to connect to your DAC by USB, it has an optimised and excellent internal clock board, but they build it with high quality audiophile components, for me they have made something very special that results very well on my system.

The sMS-200 Ultra supports various audio standard protocols like the Roon RAAT, HQPlayer, LibreSpot, Minim Server, Airplay, Bubble UPnP, DLNA, Squeezelite, and runs a light linux optimised version for audio called Eunhasu that can be upgraded with more functionality and add support for future DAC hardware.
Their service and support has been very receptive to beginner questions, with fast reply and helpful responses, thats a thumbs up for support. For me, product support is one of the most important features of any product.
The sOTM sMS-200 Ultra is an awesome product it made a big change for the better to my music enjoyment… The final result is based on my personal system, room, cables, and could be different on your system, but one thing I have certain, If anyone tries one of this units the change will be noticed for the better.
When I dedicate some of my time to write about it, it’s because I the product quality and benefit it gave me. Is common that the new upgraded unit is better than the last used solution, and the big motive I upgraded an stayed in the system. But regarding the presence I feel now when I listen to a good album, the SOtM sMS-200 Ultra is one of the best upgrades I have done in the last few years, and the upgrades where a lot.
Apart from some rock concerts, small jazz groups and some classical music concerts, my live music experience is not that active, I will not compare the real presentation that I can achieve, but instead the enjoyment the SOtM offered to me from my system, and with it came a new musical experience. The difference of hearing a real orchestra in plain euforia is something that I never heard any system being capable of, the real thing is a more powerful experience that any system or my small one can reproduce, I herd systems close to that reality with prices impossible to archive by a normal person, but with my hardware limitation, the emulation of the artist presence was upgraded to a new level.
All of this to explain that is difficult to quantify how better in my case the SOtM is compared to reality, but I can quantify listen experience before and after the SOtM, and here it goes.
The SOtM is all about music, after changing the in the box power supply for an SBooster it really shines, the music presentation grows a lot, and the speakers grow the sound to a huge presentation, the sound is so big that the room feels larger, a friend of mine when showing the music, started to look behind searching for surround speakers on the back wall, the SOtM sMS 200 Ultra really made the presentation of some albums impressive. One example of this is the Pink Floyd track On The Run from the Dark Side of the Moon album, or tracks from the album Blood from This Mortal Coil.
The SOtM sMS-200 Ultra is musical and not aggressive in any way, and has this 3D way of presenting the sound a sensation of magical sweetness without loss of information, I am loving it and ordered an SPS-500 Power supply with silver cable, it deserves the best friend to complement and shine even more.
The sound from my Mac Pro was somehow a little bi dimensional when compared to the SOtM, the highs sometimes where to much, and lacked the dimension that the SOtM has, it sounded ok but was not holographic like the sound I have now, and lacked some musicality, some albums where too harsh and very aggressive to be played, this doesn’t mean a bad recording will sound good, the bad will sound always bad, but good recording elevate your experience in a way with the SOtM that the computer did not acomplished.
When used with a good DAC and a quality usb cable, in my case the iFi iDSD Pro DAC and the Audioquest Diamond USB, it gave me impressive results connected to my Focal Solo 6be.
I find the SOtM sMS-200 Ultra very sensitive to power cables, I used Audioquest tornado cables on the iFI and SOtM, and they proved to result very well in my setup.
So I think audiophiles will love it, for me is not an option to revert back to my Mac Pro as a USB source.
If you are using a DAC connected to your computer, you have to try an SOtM streamer and see what you have been loosing in sound with your computer, and pair the SOtM with a good and decent power supply and it will really shine.
Homemade vanilla extract tastes amazing, makes an excellent gift, and best of all it's dead easy to make.
Ingredients:
Three fresh vanilla beans (I got mine from the Organic Vanilla Company)
One cup of vodka or rum
Directions:
Split vanilla beans lengthwise with a sharp knife.
Cram the beans into a jar, and pour in one cup of spirits (I used rum). Stash the jar in a dark cupboard. Wait 8 weeks, shaking the jar every so often. Then use anywhere you would use store-bought vanilla extract.
After this is done steeping, I may bottle this in smaller quantities to give away as gifts. I searched for a while to find brown bottles in the shape I wanted. I eventually settled on these bottles from SKS Bottle & Packaging.

Layering filters - Pre-filter.
This is a very coarse LARGE particulate filter to keep bigger fluff-balls from gumming up the much more expensive pleated filter.
A researcher goes through the gills of a red snapper to remove an otolith. Otoliths are eastones that are found near the brains of bony fish, and are used to estimate the age and growth rates of fish. The extraction of the otolith does not ruin the filet, so no need to worry anglers! The researcher in the white shirt is speaking with anglers about the otolith extraction process, and also speaking about other areas of the sampling process.
Salvia divinorum 10x extract has a standardised 'salvinorin A' content of 25mg per gram. This means that it is 10 times stronger than normal salvia leaf.
This is for just one of the 5x5" output squares on the fan. We found we got more accurate numbers reading the velocity on the input side of the new model. Comparing the measurements of the two outputs vs one input, we're satisfied. Conclusion? Approximately 450CFM filtered air!

“Tu hai una malattia nello sguardo piccolo mio, proprio dentro agli occhi. E questo è il tuo problema.”
Io rimasi zitto, cosa potevo risponderle. Avevo quindici anni e lei, enorme e al tempo stesso minuscola come mi appariva, mi stava seduta di fronte protesa verso di me. Sembrava vecchissima in quei giorni. Sembrava spenta. Tutte le frasi che sentivo dire su di lei avevano un suono insolitamente definitivo. Durante le cene per esempio, mentre in miei genitori discutevano fra loro sopra il rumore della televisione sempre accesa.
Ad ogni modo la nonna non mi aveva mai parlato con così tanta tristezza nella voce, prima di quel momento. Rimasi zitto e ripensai all’episodio che fra le lacrime le avevo appena raccontato.
Scuola. Suona la campanella dell’intervallo e si formano i soliti gruppetti. Il mio compagno di banco, Mirko, Mattia ed io – che al tempo ero soprannominato Lothar – appoggiati alla porta dell’aula osserviamo nell’atrio quelli più grandi di noi. Dopo poco vediamo uscire da dietro di noi Gabry, un nostro coetaneo piuttosto silenzioso che come tutti i giorni stava andandosene in bagno dopo aver mangiato la merenda seduto al suo banco apparecchiato. Avrebbe trascorso anche oggi la sua metodica ricreazione senza parlare con nessuno. Gabriele, o come diciamo noi Gabryella, o ancora Gabry, è un ragazzo decisamente strano ma oggi è un giorno come gli altri e io non ci faccio caso. Mentre ci passa davanti i miei amici si guardano, ridono, aspettano un po’ e fanno per seguirlo in bagno. Vado con loro. Quando entriamo lui ha appena finito, ha ancora la mano sulla cintura, ci guarda, per la vergogna si volta. E’ quei che uno dei miei amici lo strattona e dopo aver detto una cosa senza senso come “questo è per la faccenda del diario, e perché sei un povero stronzo, uno sfigato sei” gli sputa addosso. Sento gli altri che ridono e no capisco cosa centri questa storia del diario. Vedo Gabry che sta per reagire ma si ferma a metà, abbassa gli occhi con il pungo a mezz’aria ancora chiuso per la rabbia – sembra una statua tristissima, è questo che penso – poi vedo gli altri che sputano anche loro, ridono e infine mi guardano. Sputo pure io ma non so perché.
Raccontai questa storia alla nonna. Le dissi che era una settimana che non riuscivo a pensare ad altro, che avevo anche provato a fare amicizia con Gabriele nei giorni dopo il fatto ma che di lui non ci capivo proprio niente. Avevo bisogno di sapere perché ero stato capace di sputare a una persona che non mi aveva fatto nulla. La nonna disse solo questo:
“Non devi essere troppo duro con te stesso. Le persone non sono così buone come sembrano.”
MI passò una mano nei capelli e poi, con una voce tristissima:
“Tu hai una malattia nello sguardo piccolo mio, proprio dentro agli occhi. E questo è il tuo problema.”
Quella fu una delle ultime volte che parlammo. Morì di lì a poco.

E’ notte e l’aria di questo schifo di stagione afosa si è finalmente rinfrescata. Sto correndo. Non appena voltato l’angolo sento un grido che lacera la quiete delle stradine alle mie spalle. Sono stato io ma non ho paura. Non ho nemmeno quella lucidità del pensiero che nei film viene attribuita ai delinquenti.
Già. Sono appena diventato un delinquente e mi stupisco dei miei primi pensieri di questa nuova condizione. Mentre corro, ripenso a quando io e Gabry, da bambini, scappavamo fianco a fianco da Mirko e dagli altri. Ripenso con nostalgia ai tempi delle partite giù al campo, con i ragazzini, quando avevo conosciuto Lele. Le gambe continuano a mulinare, il respiro è allenato e regolare. Sono flash più che altro, immagini che si sovrappongono nella mia mente senza che fra loro vi siano nessi particolari se non: il correre.
Io che adesso corro senza fare alcuno sforzo.
Arrivato alla fine del marciapiede, dove c’è una rientranza e ed iniziano i portici, mi arresto. Mi guardo attorno, non si vede nessuno. Nessuno mi può vedere, controllo le finestre e quindi mi riordino i vestiti. Riprendo fiato.
Se tutto andrà bene da domani la mia vita potrà continuare ad essere la vita normale che facevo prima. Ostentando tranquillità comincio a camminare verso casa, nella notte.

“Ci proverò. Allora… noi si giocava a calcio quasi tutti i pomeriggi, d’estate, in uno spazio di terra fra il liceo e la chiesa. Come pali delle porte usavamo gli zaini, o le felpe ammucchiate. La lunghezza del campo variava a seconda del numero dei giocatori. Capitava spesso di non essere abbastanza e di volta in volta o cercavamo di coinvolgere quelli che passavano di lì, o chiamavamo Thomas e i suoi amici. Erano più grandi, più forti e più cattivi di noi. Quando non volevamo avere problemi ci limitavamo a rimpicciolire porte e campo. Mi ricordavo di lui perché per un’intera estate venne a fare il libero nella nostra squadra. Correva forte, aveva resistenza e piedi buoni, ed essendo più grande di noi di una quindicina di anni si scelse il ruolo. Mi ricordo che alla prima partita i piazzò in mezzo alla difesa dicendo questa cosa ridicola, manco fosse lui il ragazzino: “Chiamatemi Lothar, come il giocatore dell’Inter.” Era silenzioso. Arrivava n bicicletta con indosso pantaloncini e maglietta verde militare e sene andava in bicicletta senza dirci mai niente della sua vita, o di sé. Non sapevamo se lavorava, se era sposato, se aveva dei figli – non sembrava il tipo d’altra parte – noi non sapevamo praticamente nulla di lui. Non credo fosse una persona triste, per via di quei lunghissimi silenzi intendo. Era semplicemente fatto così. Aveva legato solamente con me, forse perchè gli giocavo di fianco in difesa.
UN giorno mi disse che molto tempo prima aveva conosciuto una persona con il mio stesso nome, Gabriele, a cui aveva voluto bene. Anche io gli volevo bene, in un qualche modo, come a uno dei miei fratelli maggiori. E che i giornali scrivano quello che vogliono scrivere. O quegli ubriaconi del bar. A me non importa. Io non credo a una sola parola di tutto questo.”

Broken Craftsman extractor bit by one of the many stripped screws on my bike. I'm all ears for any ideas on how to get this thing out. Below are some close-ups of the offending screw.
I soaked the thing with liquid wrench overnight about 3-4 times. Tried tapping it with a screw driver and hammer to "break" it loose. Made sure the low torque extraction was done dipping the bit at a slight angle to help bite. But alas... I heard a snap and sure enough, busted bit.
My jar of homemade vanilla extract with diluted 190 proof alcohol and 4 vanilla beans (one had already had its seeds scraped out though). Stay tuned throughout the next 6-12 months to see how it ends up!

Working Principle
Fan aspirates air into combustion room through shutters and forms a controlled mixture with the gas coming from installation.
This mixture is burned by the burner. The heat formed advances along combusTİon room with the help of burner fan and upper aspirating fan and passes through transiTİon channel and is transmitted to air channels of product chamber.
Thereby heat is transferred to product and some of heated air is extracted in a controlled manner and remaining heated air enters the system again and is mixed with the atmosphere air received from cooling shutters.
Air is irculated along the system in order to reduce its humidity (saturation). Humidity of the product within this loop is reduced to desired humidity ratio and then product asses from unloading mechanism to hopper and exits the system.
Grain which is equal to the amount of product leaving the system is added to system with the help of sensors. It is prevented that heat goes toflow pipe through transition connection by means of this adding process.
General Specifacition
1.) It has galvanized and thoroughly fixed strong base structure.
2.) It allow to work easily under different products and product conditions thanks to grain intake system.
3.) Interior roof and supports ensure that humidifiedgrain passes through chamber as granulated.
4.) Turbulent air circulation is avoided thanks to low static pressure and homogenous heat dissipation.
5.) In emergency situations, machine's burning system is closed thanks to heat sensors.
6.) Temperature values is increased to maximum value from nominal by means of air mixer.
7.) Burners keep temperatures needed fixed continuously.
8.) Burner system consists of Elster Krom Schröder or Dungs brand high-safe devices.
9.) Burner system is worked by using fuels like LPG, LNG (in gas phase) and NG

with the Siemens control panels (PLC).
